About
Set in the heart of the Grand Strand's Lowcountry plantation area, Indigo Creek is laid out through large oaks and flowing creeks, especially the back nine, though the views have been somewhat spoiled by housing. The course is built over an old rice and indigo plantation with some nice elevation changes, lakes, waste bunkers and undulating greens. It's a Willard Byrd design, with Bermuda greens and a slope rating of 128.
Indigo Creek is another of those Myrtle Beach-area courses that fell into a disreputable state only to be saved by a new ownership group. One golfer who'd had a bad experience there described it after the refurbishment as the best-conditioned course in Myrtle Beach.
Indigo Creek isn't overly long at 6,744 yards (the shortest of its four sets of tees shortens to 5,921. It is an exciting course with an significant number of doglegs, bunkers and water. The back nine is set among giant oaks and gently flowing creeks.

Enjoyed the Course
Enjoyed playing the course. Overall the course is in good shape. There appears to have been some damage done of sort to a lot of the greens. Not sure what happened. I’m sure they are working on repairs. I would like to play the course again, but would want to know if the greens have been repaired before going again.
Course should be closed
Every green was 90% sand and groves everywhere. No way to get a true putt through sand and dried up dirt. I would not have played there if I knew what the conditions were. Fairways were ok, grass was better than normal. Pace of play was quick because not very many people playing.
Good value
Not crowded, good layout, friendly stafff, but greens were a little rough. For the money, it was a decent value.
I would not play this course again
There is no grass on most of the greens. They probably need to setup temp greens and start over. There is no water on the course.
Great layout but...
Really nice layout. Some really good looking fun holes. But it's obvious that the money isn't there to improve maintenance. Greens unfortunately were awful, in May when they should be excellent. Too bad!
Greens Need Work
Great Layout Fun To Play , Only Issue Is there Are Some Bare Spots On Some Of The Greens But The Greens Rolled Good.
Great Layout / No Care
This course is always a course I love to play in Myrtle Beach but I do ever see any care being taken on the course. Yes they have people working but what's getting done is nothing , greens are just in horrible shape , not sure about the grounds crew and what they are actually doing. Just Sad for such a greatly Layout Course.

Loved the layout/Conditions poor
i picked this course because of the reviews, especially regarding the green conditions. Unfortunately, the greens were half dead, very slow with numerous bare spots. I loved the layout though and would play it agaie.n if I knew for sure the greens were in shap
Tough Greens
An excellent course that we really enjoyed. The super support staff made the experience all the better. Challenging holes required accurate placement. The one disappoint involved several of the greens, but it was clear the staff is working on them. Will surely play again.
