About
Set in the heart of the Grand Strand's Lowcountry plantation area, Indigo Creek is laid out through large oaks and flowing creeks, especially the back nine, though the views have been somewhat spoiled by housing. The course is built over an old rice and indigo plantation with some nice elevation changes, lakes, waste bunkers and undulating greens. It's a Willard Byrd design, with Bermuda greens and a slope rating of 128.
Indigo Creek is another of those Myrtle Beach-area courses that fell into a disreputable state only to be saved by a new ownership group. One golfer who'd had a bad experience there described it after the refurbishment as the best-conditioned course in Myrtle Beach.
Indigo Creek isn't overly long at 6,744 yards (the shortest of its four sets of tees shortens to 5,921. It is an exciting course with an significant number of doglegs, bunkers and water. The back nine is set among giant oaks and gently flowing creeks.

Problem with GolfNow.
The golf was fine but I got billed twice by GolfNow. The first time I booked for 2 people, it came up "unable to process transaction" so I booked it again. When I got to the course, they told me I had been booked twice. I tried to contact GolfNow but no response.
Terrible greens
Over half the greens were in terrible condition, with huge bare spots. Disappointing. Worst greens I have seen while visiting this area.
Will not play this course again and will not recommend.
Greens need help
Course was really nice, but many of the greens have some form of disease. There are several holes where putting is almost impossible as the "diseased areas" are very large and hard to putt across. If they got their greens problems solved, this could be a really nice course.
Okay course.
Layout is nice and the pace of play was great. Course was in Fair to good shape. Several greens were in pretty bad shape.
Amazing layout terrible conditions
Layout of the course is amazing but greens were more dirt than grass. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone
Course condition
Course was in good condition except for some severe damage on about 1/3 of the greens.
Good play for the money
The greens are in rough shape, bare spots on alot of them that you may have to putt through. But the fairways are in great shape. Very friendly staff.
great course reasonably priced.
Enjoyable course with wide fairways but numerous water hazards that keep you on your toes. Unfortunately the greens have many bare spots that keep us from rating this course higher. Also, the mowing could have been better. We are still going to play there again.
Unfortunate green conditions
Overall the course and staff were very good .The greens were patchy and hopefully will return to good condition.
Greens were in bad shape
Played after all the rain, so dismissing the uncut grass. I could tell the greens were in bad shape before the storms. There were only 2 decent greens all day. The rest had large spots without any grass and rough surfaces.
Greens
Overall the round was well worth the cost. The greens were very sketchy. It appears the course is on its out.
Don’t waste your money quit after 9 holes
When we set up the tee time we were told that a few greens had some bad spots….. we quit after nine holes. Probably atleast 4 holes on the front should have had temporary greens set up. Every green on the front has bare spots/ areas.
We were first out and made the turn to find a 4 some follows by a single teeing off on the back. There were maybe 15-20 cars in the parking lot so no reason to be starting people off on 10. We could have dealt with the poor conditions but couple that with expected slow play on the back nine and it wasn’t worth staying.
Nice layout
The staff are the best, man inside was more than courteous, great layout, greens were a little burnt but that can be expected for this time of year. Would definitely recommend this course to anyone wanting a great day on the course. Five tees for every level of golfer.
Could’ve been worse i guess.
Took a chance on a HotDeal to play a course i haven’t before. In pictures it looks solid, in reality the course seems to have backed off on maintenance on the greens. The Fairways were in decent shape, that’s about it. The greens were patchy at best, some greens okay but so overgrown to fight the greens dying they were impossible to putt on. Basically play tee to green and take the 2 putt. If you’re looking to save a few bucks just pay the extra 10 and go elsewhere
Seen better days
Played in early AM; was told to start off hole ten but unfortunatley was behind members Wednesday Golf group. They must have been betting life-changing money because they took forever to hit any shot. Our twosome couldn't play through because they had the whole course. And on most holes the greens we brown and bare. Looks like it was a good course but desperately needs so TLC.
