About
Set in the heart of the Grand Strand's Lowcountry plantation area, Indigo Creek is laid out through large oaks and flowing creeks, especially the back nine, though the views have been somewhat spoiled by housing. The course is built over an old rice and indigo plantation with some nice elevation changes, lakes, waste bunkers and undulating greens. It's a Willard Byrd design, with Bermuda greens and a slope rating of 128.
Indigo Creek is another of those Myrtle Beach-area courses that fell into a disreputable state only to be saved by a new ownership group. One golfer who'd had a bad experience there described it after the refurbishment as the best-conditioned course in Myrtle Beach.
Indigo Creek isn't overly long at 6,744 yards (the shortest of its four sets of tees shortens to 5,921. It is an exciting course with an significant number of doglegs, bunkers and water. The back nine is set among giant oaks and gently flowing creeks.

I’m thirsty
Lots of water on the course but none to drink. Almost had heatstroke. If you play there in the summer be sure to pack a cooler. They also gouge you on their drinks. I’m a SC resident so I’m already acclimated to the heat. Nice layout though.

Could be a great course
Course needs some TLC and could be. a great course. Good layout and challenging but course needs work!

Get what you pay for ...
It was a fun course and the staff was very accommodating since I had my child ride along. You get what you pay for here. Greens need much maintenance and are in bad shape. Would not recommend for someone on a golf trip/vacation ... But yes to someone who just wants reps.

Fun Course
The course layout was good challenge for a mid handicap player like myself. The greens had a few bald spots and were slower than I’m used to. The tee boxes were in need of mowing but didn’t impact play. I played as a single for the first nine and a double for the other nine. I played in 3.5 hours.

Good value for the price
Tee to green in good shape, greens a little hard and need some work

Lots of water
Challenging course layout with water on a number of the holes. Some greens need a fair bit of work, but still puttable. Pace was somewhat slow due to two groups of slow players ahead of us and no marshall to speed things up. Would definitely play again though.

Definitely would not recommend, course conditions were horrible

I don’t go Creek
Course was extremely dry and firm. Greens have recently aerated and not completely healed.
