About
Set in the heart of the Grand Strand's Lowcountry plantation area, Indigo Creek is laid out through large oaks and flowing creeks, especially the back nine, though the views have been somewhat spoiled by housing. The course is built over an old rice and indigo plantation with some nice elevation changes, lakes, waste bunkers and undulating greens. It's a Willard Byrd design, with Bermuda greens and a slope rating of 128.
Indigo Creek is another of those Myrtle Beach-area courses that fell into a disreputable state only to be saved by a new ownership group. One golfer who'd had a bad experience there described it after the refurbishment as the best-conditioned course in Myrtle Beach.
Indigo Creek isn't overly long at 6,744 yards (the shortest of its four sets of tees shortens to 5,921. It is an exciting course with an significant number of doglegs, bunkers and water. The back nine is set among giant oaks and gently flowing creeks.

I don’t go Creek
Course was extremely dry and firm. Greens have recently aerated and not completely healed.

Good place to hit a ball
Course could use some TLC…but worth playing for the right price. Greens not pretty to loo at but ran relatively true, good pace on surface.
Had to roll a few fairway shots to get some grass, fry.

Play Indigo and you won’t be blue!
I’ve played here many times and sometimes the course maintenance has not been the best but I’m happy to report condition wise things have improved! Both greens and fairways were in good condition and the welcome as friendly from everyone! Had an offer on Yuengling which always goes down well! Speed of play was also good! Some golfers may be a bit snooty about playing here but as a middle of the road course you will struggle to find much better. I used to play this and Indian Wells just next door but sadly that’s now closed due to housing development, but the new owners haven’t got the right permissions so the course is very sadly deserted and overgrown 😡😡.

Play was a bit slow. Greens were in very good shape. Tee boxes could have been in better condition. Overall, had a pleasant time and enjoyed the course. Will return.

The greens were not in very good condition on this visit. Staff was friendly. Good value for the price.

Low Cost - Fair Conditions
Tees & Fairways in fair condition. Most greens in fair to poor conditions. Although crowded, pace of play was just over 4 hours. Challenging layout with lots of water. Many doglegs. Cart staff very friendly.

Awful fairways
They continue to say that they are improving the course but the fairways are full of weeds and bare spots for over a year.
There is no water on the course and no place to fill up water bottles.
No rangers or cart persons.

Used to be a nice course
Been playing this course for over 15 years. It's sad to see that is has gone downhill so much. They appear to have abandoned course maintenance, with fairways and sandtraps in rough shape - lots of weeds, mud, and bare spots in most. Many of the greens were more dirt and mud than grass.
They also let groups go off of both 1 and 10 all morning, which killed our pace of play.. We finished the front nine in 1:45 , only to have to wait on the 10th tee for 30 minutes behind 4 other groups. THe back nine moved so slow that we saw 2 groups ahead of us give up and go home. When we expressed our dissatisfaction, we were told it was our fault for playing too fast.
This used to be a well maintained and well run course. Not anymore.
