About
Set in the heart of the Grand Strand's Lowcountry plantation area, Indigo Creek is laid out through large oaks and flowing creeks, especially the back nine, though the views have been somewhat spoiled by housing. The course is built over an old rice and indigo plantation with some nice elevation changes, lakes, waste bunkers and undulating greens. It's a Willard Byrd design, with Bermuda greens and a slope rating of 128.
Indigo Creek is another of those Myrtle Beach-area courses that fell into a disreputable state only to be saved by a new ownership group. One golfer who'd had a bad experience there described it after the refurbishment as the best-conditioned course in Myrtle Beach.
Indigo Creek isn't overly long at 6,744 yards (the shortest of its four sets of tees shortens to 5,921. It is an exciting course with an significant number of doglegs, bunkers and water. The back nine is set among giant oaks and gently flowing creeks.

Love the layout and the greens.
Course is in great condition for the time of year. The greens were true and fast. All around great day except for the pace of play, due to the frost delay.

I could’ve easily gave a five star. I played TPC Myrtle the day before, That was my only comparison. I have never golfed in SC until now. Your course is actually more challenging to play. Although, I am a 16- 20hcp at any giving time.

vacation golf
I've been going to Myrtle Beach for vacation since the mid 90's. I golf as a single player. Indigo Creek is a 8 minute ride from where I stay. It's a nice realizably priced golf course.
Take my word,definitely worth your time.
Im pleasantly surprised with the improvements made to this course,grounds keepers are truly taking pride in turning this course around.Greens were very fast probably still frozen,but true as any ive ever played,clean bunkers with good sand and nice tee boxes.If your n the area definitely try it out,small pro shop and snackbar with bar.

Fun course worth the value
Challenging holes, in great shape for winter. Green placement requires thought and strategy on par 5 and some 4s. Great course for the average player.

Poor conditions greens and the cost to play is to hig and cart fee is ridiculous

course recently over seeded. Very wet in spots. Many small leaves and debris on greens. Fairways with many bare spots.

Good layout, rough conditions
I give them somewhat of a pass on conditions as a hurricane was blowing in, but the tee boxes looked like they haven’t been mowed in weeks, and there were some rough areas on greens and fairways. I really liked the layout and would definitely play again when they have more of a chance to maintain the course. Pace was just over 3 hours, and everyone was very nice and friendly.

First time
Booked the hot deal and paired into a foursome. But got to go out early in a twosome because two of the guys showed up later to the tee time. Course layout is fun lots of dog legs more left then right. Only lost 1 ball on the day and had multiple punch outs. So if it looks tight no worries you will find it. Tee boxes needed to be mowed but other then that, tee to green well worth the money. I would recommend and I will be back.
