Indigo Creek Golf Club
About
Set in the heart of the Grand Strand's Lowcountry plantation area, Indigo Creek is laid out through large oaks and flowing creeks, especially the back nine, though the views have been somewhat spoiled by housing. The course is built over an old rice and indigo plantation with some nice elevation changes, lakes, waste bunkers and undulating greens. It's a Willard Byrd design, with Bermuda greens and a slope rating of 128.
Indigo Creek is another of those Myrtle Beach-area courses that fell into a disreputable state only to be saved by a new ownership group. One golfer who'd had a bad experience there described it after the refurbishment as the best-conditioned course in Myrtle Beach.
Indigo Creek isn't overly long at 6,744 yards (the shortest of its four sets of tees shortens to 5,921. It is an exciting course with an significant number of doglegs, bunkers and water. The back nine is set among giant oaks and gently flowing creeks.

Golf in December! Indigo Creek Photo submitted by Aldostin1 on 12/27/2019
Greens were in bad shape
Found this course near our stay. As many as 8 greens were in terrible shape. Made long putts a joke.
Layout was fun and staff was great.
Vacation golf
Course had a very nice layout. Green were in very bad shape. 70-80% of the greens were dead and mostly dirt. Definitely was not a $70 course. I also heard a group of guys at the turn paying $35 a head. Not sure how they got that rate.
Worst golf course ever played at.
The clubhouse is a make shift bar & lounge. Very few golf items for you to purchase. Over priced range ball tokens( you only get have a bucket). No water or concessions cart, so you are forced to buy from clubhouse. The only positive note here was the bag & cart attendant. He was outstanding & helpful. We will not return! Big disappointment to the golfing community. Note: When reserving the tee time on Golf Now for this course, the course is set up to receive the full amount up front. 1st red flag!
Not worth your time or money!
Course greens were mostly scalped grass or dirt. Cost of range ball token very over priced & you only get what is stated. No on course water or amenities for golfers. Clubhouse is a converted bar. Very disappointed in the end result for the price we payed. The bag & golf cart gentleman was the best thing of this course, he was great. Otherwise, I recommend not wasting your time or money.
Poor Conditions
Purchased balls to driving range only to find range closed. Fairways in less than average shape. Some areas with no grass. Several greens had 1/4 dirt to putt through on the green.
Too Many Better Options
Course is really rough in more ways that I will list. They also need Rangers who will address the terribly slow pace of play. Several greens were just "blotchy" with areas of no grass at all. Just do yourself a favor and find another course, there are dozens not far away.
Drive bye
If your smart you willl drive bye this course to get to the next.
Rough shape , greens were horrible. The only thing that was missing from this pasture were the cows.
Pace of play
Although a fun and challenging course, I've never seen such a slow pace of play. This is easily a 4hrs or less round and it took over 5 hrs. I mean my gosh!! Greens were bare spotty as well.
Underwhelmed
Teed off early and didn’t catch up to the group ahead for 7 holes. Second 9 was slow as we were apparently following a League. Layout of the course is really nice and in its day would have been a great course, however it’s in rough shape. Tee boxes are tough, many of the greens need to be re-sodded as there are bare spots all over! Cart paths are bumpy due to tree roots heaving the asphalt! Course needs some love and TLC.
Disappointed Day on the Course
This was the second time I have played this course. My last time out was 15 years ago. Today was disappointing experience. The greens were horrible. Roughs were uncut and bunkers were not groomed. We paid $60 each to play this course today and this was more like a $20 course at best. With what they charge to play this course, it is obvious they do not invest back into the course. We will not return. I wish I had read a recent review of this course before we played today.
Not A Good Choice
Guy at bag drop was great, Very friendly and fun to talk with while waiting to tee off. But it went down hill from there. Course is rough and some of the greens are eaten up by something giving them large black patches. Fairways are like rock in most places. Pace of play was dismal. There are just too many courses that offer up a far better value in very aspect.
Great Course, good challenge.

First time indigo
We enjoyed playing at indigo, the course is tight and lots of water but if you can hit it fairly straight it's not too bad, the staff was very friendly and helpful
