Set in the heart of the Grand Strand's Lowcountry plantation area, Indigo Creek is laid out through large oaks and flowing creeks, especially the back nine, though the views have been somewhat spoiled by housing. The course is built over an old rice and indigo plantation with some nice elevation changes, lakes, waste bunkers and undulating greens. It's a Willard Byrd design, with Bermuda greens and a slope rating of 128.

Indigo Creek is another of those Myrtle Beach-area courses that fell into a disreputable state only to be saved by a new ownership group. One golfer who'd had a bad experience there described it after the refurbishment as the best-conditioned course in Myrtle Beach.

Indigo Creek isn't overly long at 6,744 yards (the shortest of its four sets of tees shortens to 5,921. It is an exciting course with an significant number of doglegs, bunkers and water. The back nine is set among giant oaks and gently flowing creeks.

Fun course for all ages.

My son and I thoroughly enjoyed our round here. The layout was great. They had a small issue with a few of the greens but they did tell us before we started and gave us a free round with no expiration date so we can come back next time we’re down. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Good hole layout.

The greens had some issues. However the golf pro told us about the situation when we arrived and even compt us 4 free rounds for the inconvenience. Will definitely be using the free rounds later in the year.

Best Golf for your Money

Many courses you play only care about one thing. The money. The gentleman in the pro shop actually asked me if I paid for me and my son’s round on GolfNow. When I let him know I did, he said they were charging $20 less because the greens were aerated and the holes were moved around. He actually gave me two free passes to come back and play again. The course was in good condition but most of the greens were rough. Still a great day and worth the money.

Greens were a disaster

In 50 years of golfing, I have never play greens that were beyond repair. $66 on GN? Shame on you! Staff made it right by refunding my green fees. Give this course time to heal up.

Vacation golf

Course had a very nice layout. Green were in very bad shape. 70-80% of the greens were dead and mostly dirt. Definitely was not a $70 course. I also heard a group of guys at the turn paying $35 a head. Not sure how they got that rate.

Worst golf course ever played at.

The clubhouse is a make shift bar & lounge. Very few golf items for you to purchase. Over priced range ball tokens( you only get have a bucket). No water or concessions cart, so you are forced to buy from clubhouse. The only positive note here was the bag & cart attendant. He was outstanding & helpful. We will not return! Big disappointment to the golfing community. Note: When reserving the tee time on Golf Now for this course, the course is set up to receive the full amount up front. 1st red flag!

Not worth your time or money!

Course greens were mostly scalped grass or dirt. Cost of range ball token very over priced & you only get what is stated. No on course water or amenities for golfers. Clubhouse is a converted bar. Very disappointed in the end result for the price we payed. The bag & golf cart gentleman was the best thing of this course, he was great. Otherwise, I recommend not wasting your time or money.
