About
Set in the heart of the Grand Strand's Lowcountry plantation area, Indigo Creek is laid out through large oaks and flowing creeks, especially the back nine, though the views have been somewhat spoiled by housing. The course is built over an old rice and indigo plantation with some nice elevation changes, lakes, waste bunkers and undulating greens. It's a Willard Byrd design, with Bermuda greens and a slope rating of 128.
Indigo Creek is another of those Myrtle Beach-area courses that fell into a disreputable state only to be saved by a new ownership group. One golfer who'd had a bad experience there described it after the refurbishment as the best-conditioned course in Myrtle Beach.
Indigo Creek isn't overly long at 6,744 yards (the shortest of its four sets of tees shortens to 5,921. It is an exciting course with an significant number of doglegs, bunkers and water. The back nine is set among giant oaks and gently flowing creeks.

Excellent round !
I was pleasantly surprised at this course. First time but definitely will not be my last. Pace of play was very good. Greens were awesome.
Had a grilled burger from snack bar..it was amazing!!

Slow pace
No ranger to keep foursomes moving. We were behind a very slow foursome took 5 hours and fifteen minutes to play very boring. They would not leave us play through

Wet and Wetter
We played here last Friday after 4 inches of rain the day before. It was CPO so we knew it would be a long day. We played here multiple times this month mostly because it was close to where we were staying and it was 29 dollars each.
The carts are gas, some of the parking brakes don't work. Park it on flat ground.
The greens were quite good though.
Overall for the price it was an enjoyable day. The staff is very friendly especially Craig at the bag drop.

Needs maintenance
Staff personnel very friendly and helpful. Course needs work. Bunkers are in terrible shape. Greens are in the best shape I’ve seen them in a couple of years but not up to par. Course lacks Maitenance.

Over booked
The course itself is fine. Good layout and greens. Not a premium course but not a premium price either.
The bad was that we teed off over an hour past our tee time and it took 3 hrs. to finish 9 holes. We are a very patient group, equipped with cigars and cocktails, however, we left after the 10th hole when we saw it was jammed up again on 11.
The review requires a yes or no answer regarding recommendation. If there was a maybe, I would have checked that.

Greens Great/Fairways Okay
Played Indigo Creek Sunday. Overall Course conditions were good. The fairways needed some work, but it is only March. The greens were in great condition. They were a little slow but rolled true.
