About
Set in the heart of the Grand Strand's Lowcountry plantation area, Indigo Creek is laid out through large oaks and flowing creeks, especially the back nine, though the views have been somewhat spoiled by housing. The course is built over an old rice and indigo plantation with some nice elevation changes, lakes, waste bunkers and undulating greens. It's a Willard Byrd design, with Bermuda greens and a slope rating of 128.
Indigo Creek is another of those Myrtle Beach-area courses that fell into a disreputable state only to be saved by a new ownership group. One golfer who'd had a bad experience there described it after the refurbishment as the best-conditioned course in Myrtle Beach.
Indigo Creek isn't overly long at 6,744 yards (the shortest of its four sets of tees shortens to 5,921. It is an exciting course with an significant number of doglegs, bunkers and water. The back nine is set among giant oaks and gently flowing creeks.

Don’t overpay
The course has a good layout. The course is very wet, especially around the greens. The greens were pretty hard and spotty. The pace of play was pretty slow as well. This is probably a $20-$30 course tops.

Greens were bad
Goose crap all over greens that had not been mowed. Your ball was covered in dirt dew and other stuff after a putt. Layout good just needs some attention

Appalled
The people working there were genuinely nice, but
This was absolutely the worst golf value I’ve ever experienced. The course is not stellar. To charge $50 and present it as a discount, in the afternoon in November no less, is a crime against nature. Unkept everything: tee boxes, fairways, greens. Putting would be easier on a shag carpet. Third graders could do better. The course was soaking wet despite no evidence of recent rain. Embedded balls every other hole. No charm - outdated and over-crowded houses everywhere in sight. Paying good money to play here made me sick.

Good value for the money
Good layout course could be great if it were In better shape greens in better condition than last time I played.
Play was a little slow, one group of 4 wasn’t that good.we waited at every hole. All in all a good day will be back

First and Last Time Playing
Pleasant course surroundings, but not enough to compensate for slow play, poor course maintenance, and lack of basic amenities.
Starter must have been out to lunch. One, two and four player groups all were waiting and backed up. Saw one ball washer in 18 holes. Some hole monuments were missing, so first timers only had score card to see what was ahead.
Gas powered carts were old and had Jerry starts. Clubhouse was old and in need of updating.

Fall condition
Not being a superintendent of any golf course, I think it could use some help. I been going to this area for years and had a very knowledgeable person with me. We’ve realized that this time of the year they let the grass go and over seed for the winter and make the course look green. With that being said I feel that they are doing a good job with this course.
