About
Set in the heart of the Grand Strand's Lowcountry plantation area, Indigo Creek is laid out through large oaks and flowing creeks, especially the back nine, though the views have been somewhat spoiled by housing. The course is built over an old rice and indigo plantation with some nice elevation changes, lakes, waste bunkers and undulating greens. It's a Willard Byrd design, with Bermuda greens and a slope rating of 128.
Indigo Creek is another of those Myrtle Beach-area courses that fell into a disreputable state only to be saved by a new ownership group. One golfer who'd had a bad experience there described it after the refurbishment as the best-conditioned course in Myrtle Beach.
Indigo Creek isn't overly long at 6,744 yards (the shortest of its four sets of tees shortens to 5,921. It is an exciting course with an significant number of doglegs, bunkers and water. The back nine is set among giant oaks and gently flowing creeks.

My go to local course
Great course for the money. Awesome staff! When we played on the 15th we were playing behind a group of women. So we skipped 2 holes to get ahead of them since they didn’t let us play through. When we got to the hole they came and drove past as we were getting ready to tee off. They had terrible etiquette. Other than that I’ll be back to play!

Good course but greens need help
Enjoyed playing Indigo Creek because of layout. But greens sub par compared to other courses the same week

Good course
Greens on the front were rough but they are trying to fix them. Lack of water is the problem. Everything else was in good condition. Staff was great and it’s a good value for the money..

Cheap and quick pace of play
I played here in about 3 and a half hours, the course is what you would expect being one of the cheapest in the area. The course is in below average shape, it’s very wet, and the greens are in poor condition. They are very patchy, bunkers aren’t playable. Tee boxes and fairways are in average condition. I don’t think I would play here for anything over $20. The staff was very friendly, but I suspect the course doesn’t have too much longer unless money is pumped into it, which is unfortunate. It’s the cheapest course in the southern strand.

Very nice country setting the course rambles thru picturesque homes and loads of water and trees surrounding the course.
I’d recommend this course to anyone looking for a nice round of challenging golf loads of water hazards as well as trees.greens are protected by lots of sand and water.very friendly staff and my wife rode along with me which was a nice change for her.

Terrible conditions
I came to Myrtle beach for 2 weeks and played 7 courses while I was here and this course was by far my worst to play. The greens are in horrible condition and a lot of bare spots on the course.

The course layout is OK
Course is generally good except for the bunkers & the greens

Not bad.
Price was good. Course was maybe a 6 out of 10. My only complaint was that the greens were very dry with burnt spots, but that could be the time of year that I played. Staff was friendly and pace was very good.

Good Day
The greens were horrible...about a 50/50 dirt and grass. The rest of the course was good. Overall I had a good day playing golf.

Family Day
Took my beautiful wife, brother and grandson to play around of golf. When we arrived, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The course was challenging and a pleasure to play. The pace of at was slow but that was just the players in front. They were having fun. It was not a big problem as we had places to sit and things to look at on the course. We will be back. A great day with the family

Horrible greens
Greens are some of the worst I’ve ever seen. Fairways are decent and staff is friendly. But for the price you get what you pay for I guess. Not a high level course in terms of green condition.

Don't waste your money
The greens were horrible. Some of the worst I've ever played. Tee boxes were almost as bad as the greens. Got behind a forsome of teenagers who were sharing clubs and would not let us through.

Monday morning golfing
Meet 2 people for a nice morning of golfing, enjoyed the round but the greens were slow and had lots of patches were the fungus ate away at the grass.. All and all a nice Day of golfing.
