About
Set in the heart of the Grand Strand's Lowcountry plantation area, Indigo Creek is laid out through large oaks and flowing creeks, especially the back nine, though the views have been somewhat spoiled by housing. The course is built over an old rice and indigo plantation with some nice elevation changes, lakes, waste bunkers and undulating greens. It's a Willard Byrd design, with Bermuda greens and a slope rating of 128.
Indigo Creek is another of those Myrtle Beach-area courses that fell into a disreputable state only to be saved by a new ownership group. One golfer who'd had a bad experience there described it after the refurbishment as the best-conditioned course in Myrtle Beach.
Indigo Creek isn't overly long at 6,744 yards (the shortest of its four sets of tees shortens to 5,921. It is an exciting course with an significant number of doglegs, bunkers and water. The back nine is set among giant oaks and gently flowing creeks.

GREENS need work
Course is decent- definitely the greens need a lot of work!
Very slow because of foursome in front of us.

Course has a good layout with a mixture of tight and open holes. Greens were mostly sand with patches of grass. Unexpected for spring of the year and was the only disappointment with the course. My two teenage daughters and I played in less than 4 hours. Pace of play was good. Hopefully they will regain the greens soon then I would recommend this course.

Great Course
The layout is great, plenty of challenging holes. The greens need a little help and the fairways need some water. The price is good and the speed of play was great. Worth playing, but wait until the rainy season starts.

Not recommend
Let me start by saying the staff were all super nice.
The course on the other hand was in terrible shape.
The fairways are barren and extremely hard. The out laying areas are a mess with over growth and leaves. So bring plenty of balls. Lots of ground under repair.
The greens are non Existent, so good luck putting.

The course has a somewhat interesting layout - the ability to ‘work’ the ball, especially off the tee, is a priority. However, the course conditions are just Terrible. The greens have had a fungus or something and are 80% nonexistent. The fairways do have some sod and look like grass has grown in the past but currently they are dead and don’t appear to be growing at all. I got the GolfNow special but otherwise would really have been annoyed at the waist of my money.

Terrible conditions don’t waste your time
The course in like a hayfield. The greens are like painted green sand. They let singles out alone. We encountered a five some. Plus a group of 3 young dads each with a child none over 5 so a six some. The local rate is 49 dollars luckily I got a cheaper rate on golfnow. They shouldn’t charge more than 20 dollars. Worst course in the Myrtle Beach area.

A disappointing experience
We were hoping for a nice design, an interesting layout and decent greens. The greens unfortunately were in a very bad condition. We literally putted on some dirt on a lot of holes. The round was cheap, so it ended up being not as frustrating as if we had to pay a full price for it.

Bad Green Conditions
Heard very good things about this course. Wanted to try it out for awhile now. I feel as though I went at a bad time. Courses around the area have pretty bad green conditions, just as this course did today. No grass in some spots, won’t be able to get a straight roll . If you want to have a good time with the boys and call 3 to 5 foot puts good, then it doesn’t really matter. Overall not a bad course. Great staff. Would recommend this course in a month of two, hopefully the greens will get better. I will play this course again.
