About
Set in the heart of the Grand Strand's Lowcountry plantation area, Indigo Creek is laid out through large oaks and flowing creeks, especially the back nine, though the views have been somewhat spoiled by housing. The course is built over an old rice and indigo plantation with some nice elevation changes, lakes, waste bunkers and undulating greens. It's a Willard Byrd design, with Bermuda greens and a slope rating of 128.
Indigo Creek is another of those Myrtle Beach-area courses that fell into a disreputable state only to be saved by a new ownership group. One golfer who'd had a bad experience there described it after the refurbishment as the best-conditioned course in Myrtle Beach.
Indigo Creek isn't overly long at 6,744 yards (the shortest of its four sets of tees shortens to 5,921. It is an exciting course with an significant number of doglegs, bunkers and water. The back nine is set among giant oaks and gently flowing creeks.

Terrible greens!!!!
Greens were in really bad shape! Most of the greens were just smooth dirt that have been painted to look like grass. Otherwise I enjoyed playing the course. Lots of water in play. Staff was really friendly!!!
Nice course, but not one of the best on The Grand Strand
Good people, nice layout, moderately challenging (lots of water, but open fairways). Greens were off for some reason, and even the fairways weren't as nice as always. Love the five tee boxes. Slower than it should have been. Still, great course for the money!

Good Value, Course in Rough Shape
The Indigo golf course is a nice layout, however it is in need of some significant maintenance. The greens in particular are very rough, to the point that the ball may or may not roll true. Part of the problem appears to be an intrusion of a coarse grass. The bunkers are not maintained at all.

Horrible Greens
I played this course last summer and the greens were bad but it has been 9 months so I thought I would give it another try. I will not play it again until I see reviews that the greens are fixed some are ok but others are just down right awful you never know which way your ball will bounce while making a putt. I like the layout fairways were nice but until the greens are repaired I wont be playing it anytime soon

Fun layout, greens need work.
Like the course layout. Greens are in need of some major work. Many are patchy grass and sand. There are better places to play in MB.

HORRIBLE GREENS!!!!
While we’re anxious to play at the beach, this course is an absolute disappointment! The boxes and fairways aren’t the best, you can still have a chance to get home. Though the greens are the worst. There is NO chance of getting a good read, since it basically dirt...you’d have better luck putting on the cart path. Loaded it up after 9 and called it day.

Greens are atrocious. Tee boxes and fairways are horrible. Save your money and play else where. An absolute disgrace of a golf course.

Fun course!
We really enjoyed this course! This just happened to be our first opportunity to play this year, and Indigo Creek did not disappoint. The staff here was very friendly and helpful. It was a beautiful area...course was marked well, maintained well. The biggest thing for us though was the laid back atmosphere here that allowed you to just go out and enjoy a good round of golf! We wish this course wasn't so far away from home for us, but we will still definitely return next time we come to this area!

THE WORST
Can't think of a worse course I've ever played.No maintenance what so ever.Tee boxes had longer grass than most rough.Greens were just terrible.I could go on,,but why?

One of the worst courses I’ve ever played. No exaggeration. Greens are unplayable. Tee boxes are atrocious. Groups sent out on top of each other.

Course has potential
This course has potential but needs work to get it up to conditions. The greens were in terrible shape, the tee boxes were full of divots that had not been filled and repaired. The fairways were just ok but many areas that had not even been mowed. The course just needs some work overall and for the price you can find a course in much better condition to play in the area.

Had fun but it needs work
Met with friends for the first time in 45 years. Had a great time but course needs lots of help. Greens were terrible.
Played this course many times back in 2006-2009 and remember it being much better.
Still hard not to have a good time golfing in perfect weather.
