Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon - Legends Course
About
Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon offers two 18-hole championship courses, the Legends and the Champions. Nestled in the foothills of the San Gorgoncio and San Jacinto Mountains, both courses have a scenic landscape that offers stunning views. The Legends Course is the newer of the two but it provides just as challenging a game as the Champions, which is a PGA Tour favorite. The Legends twists and turns through the winding elevations, demanding accuracy throughout. Like its sister golf course, there are numerous steep-lipped bunkers treacherously placed along the greensides. The rough is also tall, thick, and unforgiving. The tricky par-3 fourth hole is played from the highest point on the property. From the tee, the canyon seems more intimidating but the wildly sloped green is where the challenge begins.

Dog Track!
Where do I start. My cart never worked! GPS didn't work as well requested a new cart at whole 2 never received one through 18. Not one ball washer on any of the 18 holes. At the turn I wanted to get a hotdog or something but everything was closed. So you're forced to stay out there for 18. cart girl came by once on hole two. Best part of the day was at the bar before I Started
nice layout
the conditions of the course are great the pace of play was good the staff are friendly had good weather not windy because you can get a lot of wind in that area .
Fun course
Loved this course! Lots of elevation changes. Fun course. Lots of driver holes but greens were tough! Huge breaks a bit frustrating! I’d play this again though! Thank you
Great layout
Enjoyed my round. Was not happy about the conditions of the greens. They were in very poor condition I wish I would have known before booking. I’ll return because I love this course and staff are always great.
Great course
Hi we arrived and were impressed with the clubhouse, staff, and practise facilities. Starting in our scheduled tee time we found the pace super slow..however we were a
overall impressed with the course
Greens need a little help.
The greens have some sort of weed infesting them. I played the Legends side and all of them are affected to some degree. The worst, by far, is the 14th which is virtually unplayable. You'd think with the resources available to Morongo to maintain the course that they would be more inclined to keep the courses playable than remodeling the clubhouse to put a bar in where the golf shop used to be. The ALREADY HAD A BAR!! The rest of the course is in great shape and both sides are some of the most interesting and well maintained around. With the greens being the biggest reason that I'd play a course I don't think I'll be back until they've solved the greens issue. YMMV.
Was a bit slow play, as the foursome joined up with a twosome until the marshal split them up.Also the foursome struggled off their tea box, and should have moved to the forward tees. Overall it’s one of our favourite courses.
Good layout and greens were good. Bunkers are unplayable but the rest of the course made up for them. Can't beat the value as long as the wind isn't blowing.
This course has good layout.
It was a great day to play, very adequate supply of drinking water and clean restrooms. Bunkers need more sand
To play well. More signs are need to guide golfers to the right places.
Legends
Played the course in November, which was in great condition. The fairways were starting to brown up. But the greens are still in great condition.
Tees
Typical Morongo. A number of twosomes sandwiched behind a lot of foursomes. Took 5 1/2 hours to play Legends. Condition of tee boxes was horrible. Virtually all of them had little or no grass and we had to hit off sand.
Need marshall
Almost a 5 hour round. Nice course, nice staff, but pace of ply is unacceptable. Never saw a marshall.
Sand in bunkers, but had a SLOW 3 some in front of us who shouldn't have played from the tips. They were looking for golf balls most of the day.
Pace unacceptable!!
