Angeles National Golf Club is the only Nicklaus Design course in Los Angeles County. It is tucked away in the Angeles National Forest. This championship course is known for being one of the area's most challenging with tough greens that are lightning fast and more than 50 strategically placed bunkers. There are also two lakes and a creek that come into play. Golfers should be prepared for long par 4s and demanding carries over ravines and barrancas. Not only is it a golf course that requires length, you'll also need accuracy. Angeles National Golf Club finishes with a par 4 that plays from an elevated tee alongside the rushing creek that edges the left of the fairway and to the right of the landing area there's a deep bunker. To the right, the green is bordered by deep grass hollows and bunkers and there is a lake to the left.

had an 1130 tee time walked in the clubhouse door it was locked had to walk all the way around. no cart access to the parking lot. club drop. carry my clubs there is no staff around anywhere. One person in the pro shop and paid she didn't say anything. There was no starter and no announcement for groups. I ended up just walking up to the tee by myself as a single and teed off about 15 minutes earlier. Nobody said anything. There was no Marshall on the course anywhere. The course is a challenging layout although the fairway was cut too short and too tight. The course is beautiful with a lot of vegetation in a mountain background setting but it is not worth the price that I paid $93 on a weekday morning.

Great Course

Great course. Great day. Great pace of play. Seems like staff is one foot out the door. Not sure why. The vibe is kind of like we are interrupting their day. Needs some life, a little music in the pre golf area and a little more welcoming. Still, what a great round of golf. Best pace of play in years.
