About
Angeles National Golf Club is the only Nicklaus Design course in Los Angeles County. It is tucked away in the Angeles National Forest. This championship course is known for being one of the area's most challenging with tough greens that are lightning fast and more than 50 strategically placed bunkers. There are also two lakes and a creek that come into play. Golfers should be prepared for long par 4s and demanding carries over ravines and barrancas. Not only is it a golf course that requires length, you'll also need accuracy. Angeles National Golf Club finishes with a par 4 that plays from an elevated tee alongside the rushing creek that edges the left of the fairway and to the right of the landing area there's a deep bunker. To the right, the green is bordered by deep grass hollows and bunkers and there is a lake to the left.

TOUGH IF YOU AREN'T SOMEWHAT STRAIGHT
You go O.B. here it's a wrap. You have to be pretty straight on this course or you find trouble. Small greens that roll fast with tight fairways. I left my swing in the clubhouse the first six holes and quickly scrambled to keep my card respectable until i got to the back nine. Fairways are tricky wide/narrow so if you aren't long off the tee you will have a long day of challenging second shots on the par 4's. This course makes an average golfer like me play the course and be willing to accept that a bogey is a win on certain holes. I definitely will go back as this type of course only makes your all around game better. Well worth the money.

Over priced
In my opinion this course is very overpriced. Nice course, but not worth the $110-$160 green fees. Second time playing here, staff is not friendly. Not enough carts so had to wait till 2min before my tee time to get a cart and the driving range is too far to walk. Speaking of the driving range, the mats are in terrible condition and they don’t provide balls, which I expected for $160 green fees. The course is fun and long relative to other courses nearby, but I expected a lot better conditions (and amenities) for the price. Food at snack bar not great, and staff was not friendly - no cart lady, obviously.
Guess there’s a reason tee time are always available here... good course for an expensive last minute golf outing, but nothing more.

Fun Course to Challenge You
This is a fun course to challenge your game. Greens are fast and easy to 3 putt if not careful. Few risk/reward holes and holes that require smart play, can't just always grip and rip.

No practice green. No restaurant. Snack bar with lame selections. Driving range very poorly staffed and kept.
The course itself was nice as always. This is not a country club experience even tho you are paying cc prices.

Beautiful Day / tough round, course won.
Staff very friendly and accommodating. Love the course layout very interesting holes with very strategic forced carries and bunkers alot risk/reward shots Greens rolled true and very quick on greens today. Fairways were little thin on grass on some holes but played with no issues, alot more roll. Sand bunkers little lean on sand and hard/wet They also are doing maintenence on tee boxes.. This is one of my favorite courses some rounds it treats me nice and other it beats me.
Hit it Straight !
Great course with interesting layout. In very good condition, even though tee boxes were getting annual overseeding, still very playable and hardly a distraction..
I only gave 4 stars for condition and value because some bunkers were not properly groomed before play began. To be clear, I'm talking about the initial grooming not being done, I'm not concerned about players not raking during the COVID restrictions. For $100, the bunkers should be maintained and well-groomed every day at the start of the day.
