CrossCreek Golf Club
About
Situated amidst the beauty of the Temecula Valley, CrossCreek Golf Club enjoys a peacefully secluded setting enclosed by groves of mature oak and sycamore trees. Arthur Hills designed the course, using the rolling hills to incorporate tricky blind shots to elevated greens. His design is a true test of target golf. There is plenty of variety throughout the golf course with some holes that are framed by towering treetops and other holes that are wide-open, subjecting them to the prevailing winds. You won't find too many greenside bunkers but there are many fairways bunkers. Be prepared to use every club in your bag on this golf course. One of CrossCreek Golf Club's most memorable holes is the par-3 17th, which is carved into a rocky hillside. The green is similar to that of the notorious 12th hole at Augusta National, featuring a bushy creek protecting the front.

Best value
From tee to green, the course is in really good shape.
Wonderful course, greens in good condition, slightly slow play but lots of fun
If you’re looking for a challenging course then this course would be worth it. It was well worth the drive to play Crosscreek
Challenging Course
Don’t be afraid to lay up. Make sure you read the course book for pointers.
decent track
the greens were in good shape, rolled pretty gd. some lush fairways in some areas of holes but others were dry and need water. teeboxes were spotty too. they are currently fixing few holes in back 9. would prob come back here if you can get a good rate
My go-to course.
Punched greens but I knew that in advance. Worth the discounted fee. I find the course difficult due to the side-hill second shots if your drive isn't perfect.
Great course but challenging
Course was in great shape, pace of play was excellent. The greens were fast and tough to read. Overall the course was challenging and fun to play.
JACK
Great course. Nice layout. Must cross creek all day long! Super greens Very good.
Pristine Golf!
This place is a hidden gem. Course is in great condition considering the hot summer we had.
A Shell of its Former Self
If you played Crosscreek 15 years ago, you would’ve seen their website advertisements call the experience “pristine golf.” I haven’t checked, but I hope that is not on their website any longer. It is not what it used to be. It truly used to be pristine golf. The grass was cut beautifully, the greens were fast and without blemish, everything was top notch down to the uniforms that the staff members wore. It is still a beautiful course, but the conditions are meh. I was rather put off that the guy in the pro shop wouldn’t take my cash as payment. He said it was the owner’s policy; bad policy owner. You don’t understand what a cashless society means, obviously. You need to accept legal tender currency. Ridiculous. I doubt Crosscreek will ever be what it once was; it’s sad. Clean it up, Crosscreek! You’re much better than this!
Nic
First time playing. It was in nice shape. But something was lacking I can't quite put my finger on? Kinda like the course was not built per a professional course designer, and more like the course was designed to fit the terrain. I guess that's not a bad thing but it made feel a little strange to me. I would probably play again someday but not rushing to go back. If you haven't played it then give it a try, if you have played it then you probably know what I'm talking about.
A little too gimmicky
This is a challenging course but it is a little too gimmicky for my taste. Too many iron tee shots. Not enough room for a driver. Bunkers need dry not wet sand. Greens are the most challenging part. The pace of play was poor. Early morning groups need to play faster. We were hit into by the group behind us with a group in front of us on the green. Had too many holes with three groups on it. That should never happen if your tee time is 7am. The Marshall has to find the slow players and tell them to speed it up; even if they are members. This would have been a 5-star rating but for the pace of play and gimmicky holes.
Good day
Perfect outing - great weather, good course conditions, very good pace of play, did not hook the ball.
Good, could be great
The course is in the foothills of Temecula and is narrow, little margin for error and forces you to hit "shots". Its a little over grown, usually over watered and generally in OK shape. Its a great layout, tones of character, pace in the AM is good, winds in the afternoon are brutal. Pace of play after 1pm is terrible. If they had a little more $$ to invest in this place it could be the "jewel" of the Temecula area courses.
