Situated amidst the beauty of the Temecula Valley, CrossCreek Golf Club enjoys a peacefully secluded setting enclosed by groves of mature oak and sycamore trees. Arthur Hills designed the course, using the rolling hills to incorporate tricky blind shots to elevated greens. His design is a true test of target golf. There is plenty of variety throughout the golf course with some holes that are framed by towering treetops and other holes that are wide-open, subjecting them to the prevailing winds. You won't find too many greenside bunkers but there are many fairways bunkers. Be prepared to use every club in your bag on this golf course. One of CrossCreek Golf Club's most memorable holes is the par-3 17th, which is carved into a rocky hillside. The green is similar to that of the notorious 12th hole at Augusta National, featuring a bushy creek protecting the front.

Not for me

This was my third time playing this course. I remember it being well manicured. Not this time. Tee boxes were not level, greens weren’t in good shape and fairways were average at best.

CCreview

I believe this is a relatively new course. Fairways need to thicken up to improve the lie of the ball. Enjoyed playing the course. Enjoyed the drive out to the course which is in the country side. Greens are very challenging.

Pace of play super slow

The course was in ok shape but there’s local courses in better shape for the same price or cheaper.

The pace of play was ridiculous. I wasn’t able to finish my round due to the slow pace. The Marshall didn’t speed anybody up which was a bummer.

Challenging

Interesting and challenging course. In particular the rough should be avoided at all cost. Greens are also difficult (to read) and fast. Be aware of the distance between tee boxes and beginning of fairways. Choose your tee box carefully. At a number of holes there are blind spots to be dealt with. Liked the course and it is worth playing.

Pass of play was terrible

Honestly, this course is great but full of a bunch of rich people who think they own the world. We had a tee time for 1:50 and didn’t until 2:10. We were paired with two teenagers who dipped as soon as we got to the 1st tee, made it to the third whole and they completely left the course.

There’s absolutely no Marshall on this course to enforce pace of play. We got stuck behind three groups at hole 7 who clogged up the entire course. Not once were they told they needed to speed up.

We didn’t make it to hole 14 until 5:45 and went going to be able to finish the full 18 so we just passed up and left. I’ll never play this course again unless they get a Marshall and pace of play is enforced because sitting on a tee box for 15 minutes just to have a barley moving group is insane.

Cross Creek

Great course layout. No course marshalls. Played front nine behind first time golfers with no etiquette playing multiple balls. Played back nine behind a fivesome.
