CrossCreek Golf Club

About
Situated amidst the beauty of the Temecula Valley, CrossCreek Golf Club enjoys a peacefully secluded setting enclosed by groves of mature oak and sycamore trees. Arthur Hills designed the course, using the rolling hills to incorporate tricky blind shots to elevated greens. His design is a true test of target golf. There is plenty of variety throughout the golf course with some holes that are framed by towering treetops and other holes that are wide-open, subjecting them to the prevailing winds. You won't find too many greenside bunkers but there are many fairways bunkers. Be prepared to use every club in your bag on this golf course. One of CrossCreek Golf Club's most memorable holes is the par-3 17th, which is carved into a rocky hillside. The green is similar to that of the notorious 12th hole at Augusta National, featuring a bushy creek protecting the front.

Best shape
It's been a few months since I've played here. But the course is in the best shape I've ever seen it. It was such a beautiful day out. One of my favrotie courses for sure. So peaceful with a photographic backdrop.
Beautiful scenery & underrated quality
A hidden gem. Beautiful scenery in secluded wine country terrain. Tier 1 qualify fairways & greens. Saw lots of dope wildlife (birds, foxes, rabbits, squirrels, etc.)
Wide open grass range (no mats). Friendly marshal & staff. Super unique course & my new favorite in socal so far.
Requires coarse management.
This coarse is quite challenging. Found the rough to be too long. Difficulty finding shots just off the fairway.
Excellent course
Had not played the course for a few years and had a great day. The course is tough but in excellent condition staff was friendly and helpful. About the only thing I would like to see would be the grass next to the fairway to be cut a bit shorter as it is tough to find a ball in it. Will definitely be back.
What an Amazing Course
I have played here quite a bit over the last decade and this place never disappoints. The course was in great shape. It was cart path only for the round, but that is to be expected after the rains we have gotten.
The clubhouse is undergoing some renovations and is closed, but the course staff are setup in a protable next to it.
The speed of play was alright, I would say a little slow but we only waited on the tee box for a few minutes on the holes and never felt pushed. Towards the late afternoon the starter was pushing folks to start on the back 9 which slowed play down and caused a little confusion and we added a 5th to the group.
My only grip was the GPS on the cart was not working and this made distances difficult. We had some course members in the group so we had reference for shot placement.
I will be back here for sure to play.
They let a tragic five-some off at 7 am
Always love this track, very challenging because the greens are so fast, but they have to do something about the pace of play. On this particular Sunday, they was a frost warning that delayed pace of play by 40-50 mins, and once they let us out, the group in front of us was a five some who looked like first time players. It was not fun on Super Bowl Sunday to have a 5 + hr round in 40-50 degree temps. We waited on every hole. Marshall said he told them they couldn’t play a fivesome ‘but they did anyway’
Great time
Had a great time. It rained on us but that didn’t stop us
Worth the drive!
Super fun greens are fast and fairways are tight! Everyone was very friendly and play was on pace all day
one of the best in the area
Greens above average, fairways and tees average, layout much better than lame review referring to back 9 being like golly golf- I have played over 150 courses.and this one won't disappoint you. Not real easy the first time you play
Scenic and challenging
Some challenging holes! Cool automated GPS on carts. Might need some regulation of pace, pile up on back 9.
Beautiful.
Course was great, and seemingly all the golfers there were very patient. My girlfriend was new and we were a bit slow with our play, let golfers play through us and the staff was excellent.
I will go back within the next 2 weeks and make it a habit to play here often.
