About
ChampionsGate Golf Resort, an un-matched golf facility for world-class golf, offers 36 holes designed by International golf champion Greg Norman and is the World Headquarters of David Leadbetter Golf Academy. Located just 15 minutes from Walt Disney World and Universal Studios Champions has two excellent and very different golf courses on a single site.
Greg Norman blended tradition and modern elements to create a unique golf experience.
The International course, which is the highest rated course in Florida, has the look and feel of a links-style layout in the British Isles. The International offers a golf experience unlike any other in the Orlando area, but one that will be familiar to those who have played the links courses of Scotland and Ireland. The International was designed, constructed and seeded to offer a hard, fast playing surface similar to those found on true links courses. The International, with 18 of the most dramatic and challenging holes in Florida, is destined to rank among the top resort courses in the country.

Very Links feel, LONG par 4 with water on the right short to medium and water left near the green requiring a long carry if you are in the left fairway. TOUGH Photo submitted by Gage6692955 on 10/06/2012
Reliably Good
Great range and practice facilities. Course was in good shape, greens were slower than other years I played here. Tee time was booked on International but it was cart path only for over seeding, moved me to National no problem. Staff are super friendly.
Disappointing conditions
Arrived and was informed course was cart path only due to recent overseeding. Was offered a later time on National course but was informed that play was very slow due to large outing. Greens had an enormous amount of unrepaired ball marks.

The grounds were excellent and the staff were awesome, we had lunch at the bar which was perfect. Definitely will play there again

Great course design
Great golf course. Would play there again BUT not for the money I paid. Booked a 12:50 tee time. The staff was very friendly but when I got to the starter he said they have 3 groups that have NOT made the turn yet? Mentioned I could go to the 6th hole and start from there to get ahead of the slow play group. Which was a group of 40 that put the entire course 1 hour behind. Started on the 7th hole and enjoyed the course from there. I did play the first 6 holes after the 18th so I did get in all 18 holes.

Challenging but fun course
We had a great time playing ChampionsGate International course. The course is challenging, especially the long par 4s. Pace of play was a bit slow. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Challenging
Course is tough in the wind with a tight layout. A good challenge for under 18 handicappers. Tough pin positions on the day I played.
2hours 40 for the 1st 9 is not acceptable though.
Condition was pretty good overall

Very difficult long course for ladies
We played this course for the first time and the ladies yardage off gold tees is 5487 and in this yardage are two par 3s at 98 and 105 yards so 16 holes total 5284 yards for 16 holes which is a too long for the average lady golfer, and for a gent to play giving the lady a fair chance I had to play off blue tees 6735 as the usual difference between ladies and gents is 1100 yards.
the difference between white and gold is only 800 yds
we both had an awful game as the course was too long

Very nice experience
The Omni crew is fabulous. They go out of their way to accommodate you. The International course is tight, but fair. Great layout. In great condition. I was a single and played through 3 foursomes. Under 3 hours for 18 holes!

Very friendly staff, Golf Course with a lot of potential for improvement.
All the staff from the partkin valet to the starter were very friendly.
The golf course has many areas that could be improved, such as the surroundings of the greens and the tee-offs (many weeds)
We where 3 players and played behind 2 foursome for 9 holes waiting on all the shots. In the back 9 , we had to move to the 13th hole and end up playing 10,11,12 last.
Recommendation: Check the weather forecast before making a reservation, we play with temperatures of 10 degrees Celsius.

Course good, but pace of play terrible
2 hours to play 6 holes. My playing partner got frustrated and quit. I had to skip 2 holes in order to get past 3 very slow, rude groups. On course ranger could’ve done more to encourage playing through.
