About
ChampionsGate Golf Resort, an un-matched golf facility for world-class golf, offers 36 holes designed by International golf champion Greg Norman and is the World Headquarters of David Leadbetter Golf Academy. Located just 15 minutes from Walt Disney World and Universal Studios Champions has two excellent and very different golf courses on a single site.
Greg Norman blended tradition and modern elements to create a unique golf experience.
The International course, which is the highest rated course in Florida, has the look and feel of a links-style layout in the British Isles. The International offers a golf experience unlike any other in the Orlando area, but one that will be familiar to those who have played the links courses of Scotland and Ireland. The International was designed, constructed and seeded to offer a hard, fast playing surface similar to those found on true links courses. The International, with 18 of the most dramatic and challenging holes in Florida, is destined to rank among the top resort courses in the country.

As Good As Could Be
This course was once again top notch. For as much rain as we've had the course was not as wet as id thought it'd be. The greens were absolutely perfect, smooth, true, and fast.
There was one minor thing. The first guy that we encountered that took my clubs smelt really bad, and had a bad attitude to match.
But there was a guy name Mike that was very cool, great personality and very welcoming.

Rough Riugh
The fairways and greens are awesome, but unfortunately much of the surrounding rough is so thick, that you cannot find your ball unless you step on it. I lost 4 balls that just rolled through the fairway into the secondary rough. They need to to cut it back a bit!!!

Mixed emotions...
Foursome ahead took 35 minutes to play the first hole. Someone called the pro shop and it was taken care off. Greens, fairways and tee boxes were excellent!. Rough was absurd. About 12 inches high or more. No chance of finding your ball if it was only a foot in. This slowed up play and added unfair penalties to your round. First time on an International Links type course. I felt that the course lacked character. I will end by repeating that the course condition was excellent. If you like a links type course that give it a shot.

Great course. Great staff,
The front nine is absolutely beautiful but the back nine is 10 times better, and I live in Bayhill and I would much rather play this course any day out of the week. Greens were immaculate as well., lovely bar n grill. Will definitely be coming back if they have a coupon or a special.
