Bag Drop Issue

Course is beautiful,

We dropped our clubs off quickly and didn't get a chance to give the bag guy at the drop a tip. Went in and checked in at pro-shop. 10 minutes later we find out our bags aren't in the landing area with the carts and people going out to practice/play.

The place wasn't busy at all. The jerk at the bag drop decided since we didn't tip him right away to LEAVE our clubs at the bag drop, which you need to take a cart to get there. Same guy who when he saw we were there first at drop, intercepted 2 men carrying their bags in parking lot because he might lose a tip if they walked down the path.

not a great way to start a round at a beautiful course, but wanted to mention.

Beautiful Course

Played as a single and got called to start earlier than my booked tee time with a threesome. Very slow pace of play with the group in front of us and ended up having the group behind us catch up after the turn. Played the last 3 holes in the dark.

Pace of play was extremely slow and the Marshall were around but did nothing.

T time was 12:30 and finished at 5:30 in the dark.

Also got hit with a ball on 17 Fairway by a 2 some behind us.

We always enjoy playing this course ! It is fairly difficult with the Pete Dye design but also love the challenge of this course. Greens and fairways were in great shape. Will definitely return.

scenic desert course

A challenging tee to green course. Yardage is deceptive as many holes have uphill shots into greens that require 1-2 clubs more. Not difficult greens to read as slope on most is not severe. Greens themselves show some wear and tear esp unrepaired ball marks. Definitely worth the money. Desert and mountain view’s good although some holes are next to housing developments that are less intrusive than other desert courses.
