So good!!!

This may be the most beautiful (public) course in the Coachella Valley! There are a few holes in the middle that move away from the mountain, but for the most part the scenery is jaw-dropping, with holes 14-16 being truly unforgettable!

Great Round Except for Marshal

This is a great and very scenic course that I've played once before. But we had one very big complaint. The marshal criticized us on #14 for slow play because we ( a foursome) had gotten one hole behind the twosome ahead of us. It was cart path only and we finished the round in 4 hours, 10 minutes. We were not in any way playing slowly and the interaction with the marshal ticked us all off and threw us off our game. Unacceptable and unwarranted as far as I'm concerned. The only criticism we had of the course is that the greens were quite a bit slower than we expected. Other than that, the course and the amenities are top-notch.

My friends and I take an annual golf trip to Palm Springs each fall/winter. We try to golf different courses each year. There are so many, we want to try them all. La Quinta Mountain course is one of two courses that is on our must play each year list. Loved it overall. The setting is beautiful. The course in immaculate and challenging enough for a bogy golfer like me to have a lot of fun. I highly recommend golfing here.
