I Recommend This Course
What an amazing golf course in La Quinta. We played Dunes first then Mountain a day later. Mountain is by far a way better course with lay out and challenge. The greens were very slow and needed to be mowed. I know it’s summer time and all. But they weren’t in the best shape. I can only imagine how much better this course is in mid season. We liked it so much we are coming back in two weeks from San Diego to play it. This is a must play for everyone.

great time
wanted to play in the desert. the course was open for the holiday most of the amenities were closed due to covid 19. the staff was great and friendly. the course was in excellent condition and the greens were perfect.

Fun summer golf
Paid a bit more for an early start than I would prefer, but worth it in heat. Mtn course is not long, very playable. I usually don't care for Pete Dye courses-repetitive, similar to each other, but Mtn course was distinctive and fun. Beautiful setting. Staff was great - friendly and helpful. Conditions were good for late summer. Greens weren't perfect, a little slow, but rolled pretty true. Good time overall.

The course is a nice layout. The greens are horribly slow. Could not get in putting rhythm, you had to beat 7 footers to get to hole. For $85.00 and 105 temps expected better.

Expected more!
A couple months back we played the dunes course and it was in excellent shape. Wish I could say the same about this course. Pace of play was awesome, I think every one is trying to beat the heat so that helps. As far as condition and cost those do not match up. The greens are terrible they need to be rolled, and are extremely choppy. Fairways are decent at best. I’m sure this course can be beautiful just don’t know when. Enjoyed all the scenes from each tee box. Course layout is fun and challenging. Keep your eyes posted for better reviews and you will enjoy this desert gem.

Great Track!
Got a really good deal at La Quinta Mountain in the afternoon. Weather was hot but course was in beautiful shape. Greens are smooth, a little firm, and roll very true. Lots of tough holes even though it’s a shorter course from the tips. Love this track and definitely will play here again soon.

Beautiful course, small tough greens
You can’t beat La Quinta Mountain, always my favorite in the desert. Plenty of room to hit your driver, but tough to hit those small slopey greens!
