Westin Rancho Mirage Golf Resort & Spa - Pete Dye Resort Course

The course is in beautiful condition overall. The fairways are wide and forgiving. The greens are excellent. Unfortunately the sand traps are poor with more gravel than sand. Almost impossible to play.

Fun course with some challenging holes but nice wide fairways and tee selection that makes it playable for all levels. Greens were a little rough with the lack of players repairing their pitch marks. Will definitely play again…..

Course could be in better shape. Bunkers, rough, and greens could be better, no question.

Course looked great and fairways were perfect…. Some greens need some love… and us golfers gotta fix our ballmarks on the greens… great time on a great course… our fourth time playing it…

Each golfer gets a bottle of water at the start. However there is nowhere to refill on the course. At the turn I went to the grill window and was waived in through the members only doors where I immediately was treated like a second class citizen as the members were getting preferential treatment. All I wanted was to refill the disposable plastic water bottles they gave my wife and I. The lady opened two of the exact same bottles as I handed her, poured them in a pitcher before emptying that pitcher of in my used bottles. She could have just handed me 2 bottles to replace the empty ones I gave her. I had no words…. She gave me the feeling I was inconveniencing her for this request. I take bad reviews seriously and hope this is just an opportunity to help create a better experience for future golfers.

Golf courses in general in the Palm Springs area and surrounding cities are well maintained and are well worth the price paid for a tee time. This course designed by Pete Dye was challenging for a beginner like me. There were fairway and greenside bunkers throughout the course in addition to water features to really challenge all levels of golfers. The round took 4: 45 minutes which is not too bad at all. The course was truly enjoyable.

Some things they can do to improve is to have signage at each tee box stating the tee distances and hole number. We got lost in the very beginning of our round. Also, a beverage and food cart host would have been appreciated for the price paid for the round.

Greens were not in the best shape. Slow and patchy. Rest of course is in good shape. I paid $58.00 for a 12:32 tee time so I can’t complain too much.

I’ve played this course many times. Nice layout with interesting holes.

Greens today were poor. Very disappointing and not worth $150.

Staff could be friendlier.

As soon as pulled into the parking lot (at the bag drop) the friendliness began! Course was fabulous. All staff were upbeat and helpful !

Facilities were wonderful !!

I have played here several times. This is the worst I've seen the greens.

Only complaint is the greens need better care Too many imperfections and ball marks.

This course was both beautiful and challenging. Like all Pete Dye courses, beginner and intermediate golfers will probably find this course to be a little unforgiving with it’s narrow fairways and perfectly placed sand traps and water hazards. But, these obstructions also help make this course absolutely beautiful to behold. I would definitely recommend this course to others AND look forward to playing it again soon.
