Westin Rancho Mirage Golf Resort & Spa - Pete Dye Resort Course

Management decided to wait till peak season to start working on the bunkers instead of May through August when very few are playing. One hole is always closed while some other par 4 is converted to 2 par 3's with a temp green in the fairway. Not worth top dollar for a 17 hole course.

The course is a nice layout with some nice views. However, it was not in great shape. I appreciate that they didn’t overseed every square foot of the course but the areas that were overseeded were not in great shape with lots of bare spots. The greens were in good condition. I’m glad I didn’t pay full price.

Unfortunately, the fairway conditions were questionable as the overseed had not taken root. There were many bare spots and very few fully grassy areas.

Green conditions on the other hand were good.

Hole 4 was closed and they made hole 5 into two par 3’s without letting us know. One hole was just a pin in fairway. No beverage cart. Not impressed for how much we paid .

The course is in good condition, good pace of play. Some very challenging holes.would play this again.

The fairways, tee boxes and the rough were all disasters. The fourth hole was closed with a crappy “solution” at 5 as 2 par threes. Should have taken par+ on 4 and played 5 as a par 5 like intended.

They clearly have not spent anytime on conditioning for this course. Needs to be closed, reconditioned, and reopened.

Not worth $84. $40 maybe.

Stay away even at the lesser price than other courses. It’s not worth the frustration.

The fairways were in bad shape with many bare or almost bare spots throughout.

Played Saturday , very slow play. Lots of construction. Fairways meh,traps need work, greens awesome

Course poorly maintained with patchy grass, lots of dirt. Fourth hole closed for repair with no forewarning. Next hole, a par 5, divided in two with a temporary green

All told, a disappointing experience which will not be repeated.

When we checked in we were not told that 2 holes were under repair. Poorly marked Par 5 that was made into 2 holes with no real green to putt on. We also were not given price discount that our playing partners were given. So they payed only $75 per person. How can this be legit? Just makes you mad! Course maintenance needs lots of work with very thin fairways. Greens were good.

Love the layout, greens rolled beautifully but the course looks like a mangy animal with pockets of fur missing. Fairways seeding did not catch well so the entire course is patchy. Paying anything over $70 is highway robbery.

i played there last year and thought it good. this year the conditions were terrible.
