Westin Rancho Mirage Golf Resort & Spa - Pete Dye Resort Course

The conditions of the course were not up par with comparable courses in the area. The worst of it was that one hole was closed off by maintenance workers without any notification prior to reaching that hole. Apparently not even the marshal or club house staff were aware. Will not play again.

pace of play was excellent but if you started behind us probably not so as we never saw the group behind us and the marshall seemingly made no effort to get them to close the gap

Overseeding clearly did not take. The fairways are in poor shape. I’ve seldom seen hardpan on this course but it was there this time. To be fair the greens were ok if a bit slow. Temp green on 10.

On the positive side pace of play was good and we finished in 4 hours.

We have played the course before and, this was the worst condition that we have seen the course in. The tee beds were very beaten up, the fairways had many bare patches and some of the bunkers were hard packed with little sand. The greens were very slow.

The staff were excellent. Friendly and informative. The pickup system from the parking lot works well.

The snack hut was closed and we only saw the oncourse cart once.

We got a good rate with a black friday discount but the rate of the day was around $ 115. The course is not currently in $115 condition.

Greens - Were in good shape.

Fairways - Were decent for this time of year. Not great but playable.

Bunkers - Majority of bunkers were in bad (to very bad) shape.

Driving Range - Needs some TLC.

People - ALL staff members were very courteous, friendly, and always helpful.

I might recommend this course to friends but I would definitely warn them of the playing conditions.

This was the go to perfect every time course however the fairways are horrible combo of mud&dead grass SAD

course was not in the best of condition and water stations on course seemed to be empty

Sand traps have very little sand and hitting a wedge is very difficult. Greens were slow and some had disease spots on it . Fairways were like hitting off of tight lies. Improve these things and would play again and recommend to friends. Also too many sand traps.

Was very disappointed to find that maintenance workers had taken a hole out of play, supposedly without notifying the rest of the course staff or patrons. We only found out by being notified by the playing group in front of us. No one offered any compensation for the inconvenience. Doubt we will return.

We love this course, but their overseeing got fouled up by weather and the fairways are very spotty, the greens are slow and bunkers in need of attention. Because or efforts to reduce current load on the fairways (90 degree rule), demand, and player ability, the pace of play is slow. Disappointing, but we still love this course

Pretty wet in the traps and poor sand and greens very slow and people aren’t fixing their ball marks

Pace of play was great as it was thanksgiving and not busy and they closed the course early
