Westin Rancho Mirage Golf Resort & Spa - Pete Dye Resort Course

Relay enjoyed this course. Don’t be long on chips to greens. Will pay for it. Lots of dips and mounds off the greens.

The pictures online make this course look spectacular. Then when you show up it is nothing like the pictures. The tee boxes were in very rough shape. The greens were so shaggy and slow. There was no beverage cart service and very few water jugs. At the turn trying to find the halfway house was next to impossible.

We’ve played several courses in the PS area, and to be fair, we were told this is the last weekend the course is open. The fairways are extremely dry and the greens are not in good shape. I’m glad we bought the deal on Tee Off instead of booking directly - would not pay more than $75 to play. The layout seems very simple - just straight fairways but lots of sand. I give it a “meh”. Take LOTS of Gatorade and water with you!

Play was very slow on this hot day making for a tough round.

I’ve played a few Pete Dye layouts in my time. Always interesting and challenging. This is no exception. Course in very good shape for late fall golfing test. Greens rolled well, bunkers aplenty in good shape, rough around the greens was difficult. Bring your best short game to score well.

Would be better if they gave you water and a wet towel to start the round.

Course was in good condition but driving range closed early today with poor communication to the pro shop.

Teeboxes were in tough shape.

Nice resort layout but it has huge (long) fairway bunkers & tough approaches to the green. A challenging course!

It was the end of summer right before over seeding, a little Woolley but still a great course at a decent price

Very friendly from the time we walked in to the time they loaded our clubs in the car. Interesting track. Tees are rough right now but the fairways are in good shape. Don’t go into the rough. Hard to find your ball. Rough patches in front of the greens. Greens are in excellent shape so keep it straight and put it on the green. We’ll definitely play the course again.

Fun course. Pace was pretty slow. Had to practice self restraint against the group playing behind us. They had no course etiquette, teeing off while we were still on the fairway and hitting while we were still on the green. Would’ve been nice to have a Marshall out there. We had to wait for the group a head of us, so it wasn’t like we were taking our time.
