Seascape Golf Club
About
Originally Rio Del Mar Country Club, Seascape Golf Club is a classic 18-hole layout perched on the coast highlands of the Monterey Peninsula. Opened in 1926, the course was actually shut down during World War II when it served as a “victory garden” to help grow crops for the nation's war effort. After the war it came back with its new name, but old charm. The golf course is just a half mile from the Pacific Ocean, but it's largely protected by Monterey pines and eucalyptus trees that surround it. Seascape Golf Club features well maintained fairways, strategically placed bunkers and small, tricky greens.

nice course, rough is ti high for the rating
Great location, nice club house and friendly helpfull staff, I would recoment this course
Generally a good course, best near Santa Cruz, CA
They had just sanded the greens when I played. Golfnow should have been notified. To be fair, not all of the greens had been done but it sure affected the 5 or 6 greens that were treated. I managed to find bunkers on several holes and they are deep and brutal. I'm usually a good bunker player (too much practice) but these were pretty difficult.
Women's tees are not very much ahead of mens. It might advantage the average woman to play the middle tees.
Good starting hole.
Clean and relaxing.Good fairways and t boxes. Easy to read greens. Thank you. Finishing hole could use a little touch to make it more interesting. Will come back again.
Fun course with many different style holes
Was an enjoyable experience for the end of the day 4 hour round but had to skip 10 because a group of 6 was slowing down the play. Onced past them was hit and go.
Short, but challenging for all skill levels.
Very good greens that are fast and challenging to read. Lots of interesting holes, including some very difficult par 3s. Good condition and not that crowded.
great shape
Played course in late September when weather is best. Couldn't have asked for a better day. Course was in great shape. Played round in average time never waited nor were we pushed. All in all this is a great venue
A Nice Getaway
Seascape is a scenic course that is well kept and usually not over-crowded. It serves as a nice getaway from the San Jose area and it's over-priced courses. This little gem winds through a beautiful neighborhood in Capitola. It provides plenty of challenge for the average golfer with elevation changes and well kept greens.
Always enjoy playing this course.
Very beautiful course to play and moderately challenging for my handicap. The course is well maintained and the greens are consistent.
Very nice setting with mature trees lining most fairways.
Enjoyed the round with the exception of the absence of a marshall. A gentleman and his wife ahead of us held up play on each and every hole.
Peaceful Course That's A Lot Of Fun
This is a terrific course. It's designed for fun. Each hole is memorable, both in it's layout and in the way it challenges you. Some challenge your distance. Some your accuracy. But nearly all challenge your approach and putting skills. But no matter how well or poorly you play, you can't help but enjoy yourself. Despite most of the course playing in or around a housing community, you don't feel confined, but rather the nice houses add to the beauty of the course. It is one of the quieter courses you will find, and conditions are usually pretty good all around. I used to play this course frequently but the price has gone a little out of my budget in the last year or two. But I can't say that it's a bad price considering the overall quality of play, just out of my regular comfort zone.
Dont Go
Had a 10:52 tee time and at 11:15 I asked for a refund. 25 minutes behind before i even started. Not to mention they punched the greens and did not post it. this is consistently the slowest course I have ever played 5 + hour consistently.
Larry and Gail
My wife and I are both high "handicapersd" but we found this course very playable for our game. The only concern was the lack of distance markers (150, 100). Some of the markers were in place and others were missing. Overall, a very good day of golfing.
