Doesn’t matter you glhit the ball, weeds and sand spots plague the entire course. Makes chipping incredibly difficult. Hit several shots on the fairway and it felt like a disadvantage. Pretending it’s a high price course but provides subpar conditions.

I play this course at least once per week. There has been a noticeable difference in the amount of additional workers on the course and the conditions. Yes, the course and the cart paths still need some TLC, however each week the course is in better shape than the previous week. And Rome wasn't built in a day.! Tony, Todd, and the staff, are all friendly, including all the course and clubhouse maintenance employees. There was a time during the sale of the course where it was obvious money was not being spent on course conditions. That has obviously changed with Seminole County now owning the course and the company they contracted out to for maintaining it. I expect the conditions to continue to improve and Wekiva Golf Course to once again become a premier course.

I was hesitant to go there today because of aerification warning. However, I was surprised to see that it was in much better shape than many other courses around! Yes, tee boxes are actually sand boxes so use tees to drive off. The fairways are in good condition for this time of year so, don’t land outside on either side because they are pretty barren. Greens are just fine, few bad spots but it is manageable. Weekday traffic made the pace extremely pleasant; I didn’t wait for anyone and no one waited for me. Overall, good, challenging course layout and smooth, accurate shots made me feel like the money spent was well worth for going out there. Thank you Jordan at the Pro Shop, you started me out with all smiles. I will definitely come back.

The fairways and greens are becoming noticeably worse than they were a few months ago. If you are going to allow the fairways to get in such condition you need to mark ground under repair or use ball in hand. Is there some sort of schedule available it shows when the course will be up to the quality that it needs to be.?

The course is well maintained and the staff are all super friendly; it’s also fairly priced. The only downside I had with the course was the amount of roads you have to cross in the golf cart; it’s well marked and all it’s just the amount of times the course is split by traffic is quite a lot.

This course is tight with thick brush or out of bounds on both sides of the fairway. The greens were bouncy and fast. Most of the fairways, tees and rough areas were spotted with sand and dirt. Many holes had blocked out shots with a drive down the middle of the fairway. One time, on a par 3 on the back 9, I missed the green a few yards left of the left green side bunker. When I approached my ball, I found that I had a hard pan sand lie similar to the cart path of many courses. This was better than one of my playing partners who was also left and in a dune like sand area in between two higher points of sand. There was almost no possibility of a decent recovery from missing the greens on most holes. Most notably two holes on the back nine, one par 4 and one par 5, were blocked out from nearly all of the landing area. I seemed that a tee shot of exactly 280 yards was required to have a shot to advance the ball any more than 150 yards down the fairway. This would involve extreme risk of the ball going through the fairway into the brush. A similar situation was with the par 4’s tee shot, and it forced a layup to the right if your ball was not almost in the right trees. Overall Wekiva is tight, in poor condition and often frustrating.

Played here for the first time and was highly disappointed. No organization, first no keys on golf cart to get started then a Starter couldn’t be found. literally 8 carts backed up at the first tee box. Ended up teeing off 17 minutes after tee time. Pace of play then was extremely slow. Then around hope 11 a man had the nerve to tell is to play faster because it was “getting backed up” …. In addition the course was in awful condition, couldn’t tell the fairway from the rough. A LOT better courses to ply in this area for 60$. Will never play again.

Fairways average, greens ok(some patchy grass). Tee boxes are mostly sand. Most bunkers are just packed dirt(not sand), so your club just bounces into the ball. If the lips weren't so high I would have just putted out of them. Get some real sand in the bunkers and I would definitely play again.

The layout of the course is very good! Definitely one of the better courses in the apopka area. Only complaint is that the course conditions are not the best. Some of the greens have bald spots and the tee boxes can be beat up at times. All things considered, I highly enjoy this course and will return multiple times.

Depending on traffic this course is nearly an hour away from me and with the price of gas it’s a little bit much to play …..the fairways are pretty rough in places the greens have the little fluffy weed that Ventura has but not as bad as Ventura but there were times when I moved my ball so I didn’t have to put over the weeds because it’s just you can’t figure the speed or the or angle of the putt…played around in 3 1/2 hours which is better than most lately…. the cart I had had no locking brakes and the steering was kind of loose ….I would say try it you might have a better cart than I had

I was on the Golf committee for Wekiva HOA and met with county officials and was told of various improvements. Didn’t see any improvements. Bare dirt in fairways, around the greens and tee boxes are mostly sand. Cart paths are the same mess as a year ago. Weeds in the greens, weeds everywhere and.very little grass in fairways! I live just off golf course but will not be back until improvements are made.

Before Covid this course was in a lot better shape and was less expensive to play. Now the fairways are mostly in bad shape with weeds everywhere and dirt patches all over. The 11th green is in especially bad shape with a massive dirt pit as part of the green. Play was slow with fivesomes on the course. The staff is awesome and the snack bar is great.
