About
A solid course design and immaculate course conditions make Wekiva a favored golf destination. Crafted out of a wooded setting, it features many doglegs bordered by large stands of trees and no parallel fairways. Most holes are well bunkered with water coming into play on three holes.
A semi-private club that welcomes outside play, this 18-hole, 6,849 yard par 72 course has mature oaks, pines and palms; equitable undulating fairways; strategic bunkers and gentle mounding that highlights both the fairway and greens.
Wekiva, only 4 miles from I-4's exit 48, is a golf club in the truest sense.

Good layout, poor condition
The layout of the course is excellent. Set in rolling hills with good variety of holes. But it's in really rough shape. It feels like a course that is hanging on by the fingertips. I hope their business picks up after the pandemic passes and they choose to restore the course, but I'm not hopeful.

play here a few times a month, always nice, friendly staff and golfers, a few tee boxes need attention, 17 green has improved greatly!

Meh
For the cost, the course condition was really poor. It just isn't worth the value compared to the number of other course options that are in way better condition. Hard, sandy, patchy and burnt.

Tired of the 5somes
Course in better shape than most have played lately, greens mostly grass as are fairways and in good shape. Play Wekiva at least 1or2 times a month but have lost my patience with them and their allowing 5some groups to play and slow down everyone else on the course(have several times been behind 3 or more of these little mini tournament groups) same as yesterday. 2 plus hours to play front 9, drove around at 13 to find an empty run rest of the way to18! The total lack of class of these guys who think they own the place and won't let faster players through has finally peaked for me and I will find somewhere else to spend my $.

I rate this reviewer 5 stars. He knows what he is talking about. My small group gave up on Wekiva months ago. And the fivesomes are very thin skinned to the criticism because they know they are breaking the norms and acceptable golf etiquette and courtesies that the majority of golfers not only want, but expect. Shame on management for allowing this breech of etiquette on the course. It leaves a bad taste for everyone on the course because the fivesomes are slow and will not let other groups through and ignore all others on the course. Pity, it ruins the game for everyone.

worth the 40 minute drive, love the layout, play here a couple times a month. John in the pro shop is always great to deal with!

Good layout but course needs a bit of work. 17 green is unputtable and alot of areas around the fairways are weeded and uneven rarely allowing for a good lie. Pace of play was terrible with no starter.
@RockyCobbler sadly you are correct. Instead of getting outside for some fresh air and exercise while supporting our local businesses and keeping my social distance from the old and vulnerable such as yourself, I unfortunately attempted to try this course out again seeing as I have always loved the layout and haven't played it yet in 2020. To my dismay, it is an absolute goat track. It doesn't take much to cut the grass on the green at reasonably the same length with a lawn mower. There was literally rough and overgrown st Augustine in the greens. Seeing as your main purpose in life is currently do attack any sub-4 star reviews for your home course here, I can tell you that you are quite effective at keeping customers away. Everyone else: If you have access to a car like most Americans do yourself a favor and drive a measly 5-10 miles down i4 and play one of 5 other immaculate courses for less $.

First time playing Weviva
Wide fairways, challenging fast greens. Lack of rain has left the course a bit dry. However, you get lots of roll off of your shots. First time playing this course. I will definitely play here again.

I always enjoy this course. A 40 minute drive, part of my regular group of courses. Friendly pro shop. There are several greens that need attention, however...17 green still has a ways to go.

Very nice course. A few greens need care along with a coule of tee boxes but overall in good shape. First time here and will come back. Treated well.

Tight lies
Grass on fairways was sparse and tight; i.e., no cushion under the ball. Greens were fast and in great shape. I would play again but would like to see the fairways a little more lush.
