well placed bunkers make the course challenging. Greens were in excellent condition. Saw a black bear while we were approaching the green on one of the front holes.

Haven't played in many years.
Layout is very solid.
Turf conditions are poor. Greens are miserable. Traps horrible.
Course needs some TLC, fertilizer, Weegman control, insect control.
Will not be going back

We booked at 8:59am tee time and arrived at the course at 8:45am. We were told to wait after a big group of golfers teed off. We had to wait 1 hour before we were able to tee off. The staff at the course were very unfrienly, even rude, letting alone being apologetic. Golfnow.com should exclude this club from its course listing.

With a significant back-up, about an hour delay, the pro shop was not interested in helping. The started did a great job in moving us to another group but the pro seemed to have no interest at all. 5 hour round but the course was fine.

Although we didn't play well we loved this course. It has wide fairways, fast (but not as fast as Eagle Creek) greens, excellent on-course facilities and a friendly, accommodating staff.

Wekiva has an established, but well-maintained air about it without seeming elitist. The layout has you meander through a tree filled neighborhood.

We teed off at 8:20 as a twosome and were never pressured by anyone behind us. Our only complaint was the eighth green being trimmed just before we got to it.

I strongly recommend this course because of its neighborhood feel and overall layout.

Great layout, course weaves between houses. I love a course where you can't see the next hole. Putting was challenging that day because of pin placement. Would definately go back.

For winter golf ,course was in good shape, Greens were very good shape.

The course was in great shape. Because of the great price the course was pretty crowded, however, the pace of play was good.

The Good- First time playing here and we really liked the course; varied elevations, doglegs both ways, mostly wide open fairways, not a lot of water, the staff was cordial and the facilities were fine.
The Bad & Ugly - The course appeared to be clearly overbooked; the first tee had 4 groups lined up waiting, but it was made worse by a group of five(5) that went out in front of us and included two pre-teens that obviously had absolutely no golf experience and simply hacked at the ball, chased it, and kept hitting it until they got tired. They took almost 30 minutes to play the first hole. We called the pro shop to ask for help and were told "they weren't supposed to have gone out as a fivesome" ( which wouldn't have rectified the problem anyway because a 3 and a 2 consisting of the same adults and two kids would have actually made it even worse). We went around them, skipping #2, and didn't see anyone else for almost the whole round. On #4, we watched as the cart girl took a shortcut through the woods, bypassing us. We called the pro shop again to ask for help and the cart girl came out to #5. We asked if we would see her again and she assured we would, but we never saw anyone again. We completed the round right at dark, the at least 4 groups behind us? Not so lucky, at least in part due to the overbooking and lack of child control.
Hopefully, this was an anomaly and a result of it being the day before Thanksgiving/holiday weekend, but even if that were the case, it demonstrates a shortcoming of course oversight responsiveness and it's unreasonable to expect golfers would have patience or be accepting of such a situation on what should obviously be expected to be a heavily booked day. I would consider giving the course another chance only because we really did like the layout and facilities.

I have played this course several times. Today everything was excellent. Greens were true and smooth, fairways good and bunkers were excellence as recently taken care of i.e. good sand recently rakes and fluffy. Bunkers are a shortcoming for most Orlando area courses. Add to above a good golf rate and played in 3 1/2 hours..I play 1 or 2 times a week based on best rates available

Nice neighborhood course. Fairways and tee boxes in bad shape.greens were hard but rolled true.

Always come back to this course. Friendly staff, great condition and the pace of play is generally pretty decent.

Liked the layout and loved the greens, very fast and true. The rest of the course could use some more attention though...Kind of a long drive for me, but i would like to return again next year....

The greens are in excellent shape and very fast. Tee boxes need attention. Traps were nice fluffy sand. Fairways not too bad...especially after a lot of rain.

Wekiva is in the best shape I have seen in years! The fairways and greens were in fantastic shape. Tee boxes weren't necessarily bad, but there were plenty of divots. The rough is pretty thick, so the ball did die if you didn't make it to the fairway or missed on either side.

The course has a good combination of short and long holes. Houses do line most holes, but nothing too close where you felt uncomfortable hitting. This course runs through most of the Wekiva neighborhoods. There are also plenty of bathroom and water fountain spots.

There are a few spots on the course were there was some water and slushy conditions, but the entire Orlando area has been getting lots of rain and most courses in the area are having wet conditions.

I would come back and play here again! Great value for the money. I played on a Saturday so it was a little packed, but that should be expected on a Saturday morning.

Was expecting alot more out of a golf academy course

The course overall was in pretty good shape, the greens were relatively quick. We live on this course but rarely play it because of the price. Usually better courses in the area are available at a more competitive rate. Unfortunately this outing was on a hot afternoon and all of the water coolers were empty, tried to purchase something to drink at the turn clubhouse but no one was interested in assisting me. Several other golfers on the course indicated that they had been told, by an employee, that, in the future, no water stations would be available on the course. Appears to be an unusual decision or an indication of a struggling course based on Florida heat.
