Wekiva Golf Club
About
A solid course design and immaculate course conditions make Wekiva a favored golf destination. Crafted out of a wooded setting, it features many doglegs bordered by large stands of trees and no parallel fairways. Most holes are well bunkered with water coming into play on three holes.
A semi-private club that welcomes outside play, this 18-hole, 6,849 yard par 72 course has mature oaks, pines and palms; equitable undulating fairways; strategic bunkers and gentle mounding that highlights both the fairway and greens.
Wekiva, only 4 miles from I-4's exit 48, is a golf club in the truest sense.

Nice Local Course
I decided to play this course because it was close to my house and the price was good. I often go to this course and practice but don't play the course too often just because the course always seems to be busy due to it's close proximity to the Golf Academy of America. The course is in good condition and has a decent layout, but it has some deceivingly tight fairways and the undulating greens have more slope than you would expect which is how it protects par. If you are looking for a resort style course this is not for you, but if you are looking for a challenging and fairly well maintained parkland style course with some links style holes thrown in here and there then this course fits the bill. The back nine has a more interesting and visually appealing layout. The only issue I ever have with the course is the pace of play tends to be slower than it should be. Every time I play we seem to get behind a foursome that doesn't want to/offer to let a twosome or threesome play through or we are behind some tournament, which means no matter how fast you are playing that is our excuse for not letting you through.
A hidden gem without waiting on every shot.
Wekiva is not very well known to the average golfer and especially the tourist. If you want to play a course that rewards well positioned drives and fairly big greens then this course is for you. Drive away from the Disney area and play a round free of others golfers staying at you in the fairways waiting for you to walk off the green. You will love this course and will become a favorite , I promise!
Course Management Ignores Golf Etiquette
Do you enjoy playing behind a fivesome? If so, you will like this course. We were behind at least three fivesomes. We called course management from the course and they said we allow fivesomes. In other words they embrace a practice that is intrusive for everyone behind such a group. We also noticed a threesome playing in one cart with one golf bag. One player swung four times at the ball before making contact. Fortunately they were several holes ahead of us. We also had a singleton drive his ball through us on one hole and then say he was playing through. A few minutes later he came back the other way and said there are a lot of players ahead of you. Guess he was playing all over the course where ever he could find an open tee. Overall we would rate course management a zero at Wekiva. Worst conditions ever experienced.
Course in good condition
Course was in good condition. The fairways were average. The greens were above average. Greens were in better condition than I remember. They rolled true with very few exceptions. Kudos for trying to clean out some of the vegetation along the sides of fairways. Overall, I would recommend this course.
Loved it!
Nice tee banks, generous if sometimes scrubby fairways, fluffy bunkers and really good greens combined with very friendly staff and a superb 19th hole made for a great round which it would be no hardship to repeat
This course plays long on many holes.
I was paired up with a couple of guys who only played 9 holes and then joined up with a 3-some for the back nine. I played from the white tees on the front nine and many holes I had a hard time reaching in regulation. On the back nine the 3-some was using the tees one closer which were better for me to be able to reach the greens in regulation. The greens played faster than they looked. I had a good time while my wife shopped in the area. I will play here again.
First Class Course
The course what top notch from the price, to the friendly great staff, to the beautiful golf course.
Mr. & Mrs.Cornhusker" enjoyed our selves, the staff, and the course. Would recommend the course to anyone.
18 holes at Wekiva
She's showing signs of age. Broken cart path paving, But like me wife reminded me they're putting $$ in the greens, fairways and t-boxes which was nice. Need better signage directing you to #10.
Pleasant round
This was a really nice course,t boxes and colours leave oat to be desired,at least a coat of paint would help. I always ask myself, would I come here again . Answer most definitely. Joe. U.K
Good course
Course was in good condition
Course open and good value
Enjoyed the openness and layout. Course in decent shape, but could use some work eliminating weeds and rough spots around course. Overall good value for the money.
Not bad!
Pretty good course I enjoyed it! Pretty open so if your driver is suspect you can get away with it! Not in the best shape but far from terrible! It's a cool pretty long course that for a decent price is worth playing if in area
Very nice layout
Course in good shape. Nice greens. As with most of Florida, golf after noon this time of the year is a solo round. Between the humidity and the threat of a downpour, we saw no other player. It was great!

Enjoyable Day
We'd not played Wekiva since early spring. We're glad we did. The course was in great shape.
As much as the golf, we equally enjoy post round lunch and beers. Food and service were great. Beers were cold. Burgers and wings were cooked perfectly (medium and well-done). However, the pot roast daily lunch special was the big hit - served with mashed potatoes and roasted veggies.
We'll be back.
Hi RockyCobbler,

Great 1st Time
I was in town on business and had the chance to get a morning round in. The course was bustling on a Monday which isn't typical where I am from, but it was a delight to see. It was also easy to see why the course was bustling. The pro shop attendant was friendly and had me out on the course with no issues. The course was in great shape with a fun/challenging layout. The greens were above average speed and had barely any bad spots. The bunkers were soft and playable, and the fairways showed a decent amount of roll. The only bad spot for the course was that the tee boxes were a bit scuffed up. Other than that, the course was in great shape and a pleasure to play on a Monday morning.

Great greens
Some of the nicest greens I've played this season! Fast and true even first thing in the AM. Back nine can be tight if your driver is not under control.
Hi FlyNavy675,
We are glad you enjoyed your round. We hope to see you again soon for your next round!
not very difficult course for straight ball strikers
need to keep it in the fairway

Wekiva Golf Course - where the grass is
Enjoyed the course on a Saturday afternoon...fewer thin lies at this course than most in Central Florida....come enjoy the lush fairways and smooth well paced greens

Nice inner city tract
Greens recently punched but coming along nicely. Traps need sand. Tee boxes in rough condition. Nice inner city tract when greens come in. Played 18 in 2.5 hours.
Hi RichardBowles,

Fun course, easy layout
Have lived in the Orlando area off and on for the last 18 years and always wanted to try out this course and got the chance last weekend (April 24, 2016). Fairways were in excellent shape, greens look like they'd been aerated recently so putting wasn't "fast" but manageable...tee boxes are in rough shape but it didn't bother me. Par 4's in my opinion are wide open...if you make the fairway off your drive, you've got a chance to make the green in 2 strokes. Green bunkers are smaller at this course compared to other courses I've played lately (Debary Country Club or Deltona come to mind) so if you're short game is sufficient, you'll stay out the bunkers. Water doesn't come into play until the 17th hole, a par 3. Had an enjoyable time and just booked another tee time for this coming weekend.
