Wekiva Golf Club
About
A solid course design and immaculate course conditions make Wekiva a favored golf destination. Crafted out of a wooded setting, it features many doglegs bordered by large stands of trees and no parallel fairways. Most holes are well bunkered with water coming into play on three holes.
A semi-private club that welcomes outside play, this 18-hole, 6,849 yard par 72 course has mature oaks, pines and palms; equitable undulating fairways; strategic bunkers and gentle mounding that highlights both the fairway and greens.
Wekiva, only 4 miles from I-4's exit 48, is a golf club in the truest sense.

Greens looking good
This is a great course. Great place to practice when it's not overrun with golf academy kids. Greens were recently punched but they still rolled well. The greens are the nicest part of this course. Some rough spots on the fairway but nothing to get too crazy about. Can't beat this place for the money. The atmosphere is laid back here, not stuffy like a country club... If the fairways were a little more plush I'd have no complaints. But overall the course is in good shape
Course's Features
This course is nestled in a very pleasant and safe community. It has some really challenging holes, testing your abilities & skills to navigate bends, sands, trees and water... Gets really backed up at times, however, a pleasure to play there!
Decent
Greens were really good, but the fairways and tee boxes were awful. Tee boxes were especially bad. I could see where this could be a fun course to play, but it needs maintenance.
Good greens
This was my first time playing the course and the layout is fairly straight away. The greens are in really good shape for an inexpensive public course. However the tee boxes and fairway grass needs work, it is rather patchy at best.
the course is ok for the area
course and cart paths look very bad i will not refer any of my friends to this golf course.
This golf course is always in good shape .
I alwAys enjoyed play at this golf course. Every one I brought here to play they love it.
Course is in good shape
All the greens were nice, not burned out. The pace was a little slow at first, but the slow foursome let us play through
wide open
I will play it again it was avery nice course amust play
Good course
Played in the morning, course was fairly empty. Good shape and they are working on it to make it better
Conditions are improving
It has been several months since I played Wekiva and I was very impressed with the improved conditions. The greens had just been areated and sanded but still rolled well and will be in great shape in short order. The fairways are in good condition. The grass in the fairways could be a bit thicker though I found very few bare spots, no weeds to speak of except off the fairway and the tee boxes were a bit bare. The improved condition is showing this to be a really nice track which was hard to tell not too long ago. If they keep it going in this direction it won't be long before Wekiva is on my "A" list.
This has long and short par 3s
I love the challenge of the par 3 at 17. The cup is on a hill guarded by bunker, so trying to hit it below the hole is a test, seeing that you hitting over water.
Challenging, with some forgiving holes to score on
Great practice facilities and great course for the mid handicap players. Water on 17 only, and depending on pin placement this course can eat you up
Great Day in the Rain
Heavy rain forecast, but did not deter. We (4) got off and played quick. Greens were redone within the past year or so. Still very good, and fast. Fairway conditions good, minimal bear spots. Played here before, no complaints. Today because of rain I think we may have been only group on course, although in the past pace was always decent. Course has it's challenges but not one to drive you nuts.
Worth the price
Pro: High number of dog leg holes, large well-kept green side bunkers, slight elevation changes, well conditioned greens, and undulated greens.
Con: grass is sparse off the fairway, no sign to direct to the 17th hole.
Overall: good price for the course. Courses that are wooded tend to have problems growing grass off the fairway...no problem just play preferred lie and enjoy your day.
Where are the rangers?
The course is interesting and the greens are in pretty good shape for this time of year. We teed off behind a two some and never saw them again. We had distanced ourselves from the group behind us after the first hole and figured we'd play under 3.5 hours until we caught the group on the 5th holes. Even though we didn't play our best golf we still had to wait on every shot on every hole. The group saw us but wouldn't let us go. The two some either jumped them or the four some allowed them through. Either way they were not going to let another group pass them. The slower group behind us caught us and were delayed on every hole too. We decided to pass them at the turn when they stopped for drinks or a restroom break. They skipped the stop and went on. Bottom line it took us almost 5 hours to play. When we finished there was a cart with a sign that said they had course rangers but I guess they don't ranger.
Not visitor friendly...
This is a nice course, greens are in excellent shape...if you stay in the fairways, you will do fine...however, 5 ft from the fairways, you will either be in the weeds or sand...Challenging par 3's..long...
What turned us down is the lack of starter staff, which in turn result in a course where solo players appear do rule the place...do not search for the 150 ft indication...there is one on the first hole...likely to impress you, and then you will have to wait until the 15th hole to find another one...how much does it cost to install a plastic pipe, 3ft long an a alley ???...same with 200 ft and 100 ft indicators...either somebody stole them, or they were buried in the grass...a youth greets you at the shop and forgets to tell you that you need to ensure you got your rake with you for the sand traps...no rake on the course ???there is a comment about to adhere. To proper attire....well, what about basketball shorts and a tee shirt...is this proper attire...do not bother having such a comment on your card if you are prepared to enforce it...
This is the typical case of a local club serving locals...if you are a visitor in the Orlando area, like we are, do not waste your time and $ there...this course does not want your business...
Potential for excellence but not without staff dedication
Played the white tees (2nd longest).Very forgiving fairways. Well placed bunkers protect greens that are largely in good condition. Fairways and tee boxes very ragged. Over seeding either lacking or didn`t really take. Virtually no rakes for sand traps and very few ball washers. Staff were not attentive to toilets, with paper allowed to run out, and not replaced even after being brought to attention of pro shop staff.
