Pembroke Lakes
Very nice, challenging but fairways makes it easier to get the call to go
Excellent Course!
The course is great. It is very well kept and it is challenging enough, without being too frustrating. Very friendly and professional staff.
Tournament
We were not advised that they are having tournament so we had to wait 5 hours for a twosome.
Unnecessary
Great place
First time playing here, course quality maybe on par with Biltmore golf course. Excellent pace of play and staff was very friendly and accommodating. Given that is a lot more affordable than Biltmore, I definitely will come back.
Straight Hitters Paradise
First of all, we flew into Miami and we were looking for a course that didn't break the bank. We decided on Pembroke Lakes. 1. Staff was very friendly and went out of the way to make sure we were taking care of. 2. Driving range and practice facilities were average. We putted a few and the practice green was very slow so our expectations were low on the quality of the greens.
The greens turned out to be very good. i would guess they were rolling around a 10 to 11. The greens were challenging with some of the pin locations which made you feel like you had to hit a shot into them. 3. Fairways and tee boxes could use some TLC. If you rolled them in the fairways, you could get a very good lie. Tee boxes were good enough, just a lot of play on them.
4. Bunkers were fine around the green. MY ADVICE: if you are a golfer with a 18 handicap or less, play the course but pick the right time when it is wide open. From the tees, you need to be able to shape the ball to fit it in the narrow fairways. After tee shot, the greens are big enough to hit and enjoy the putting. If you can't hit it straight or work the ball, you will be in for a long day and bring extra balls. If you get stuck behind a group of high handicappers, it will be slow. no Marshall on a Tuesday afternoon. Played last 5 holes behind a fivesomes which included a couple of the maintenance employees driving a work cart over the course when it was CPO.
Overall, it served our purposes of playing golf on a beautiful day for $56.00
Good value
Fairways are not perfect, greens very good shape but about a little slow for putting.
Overall a very good value for the money, we played in the afternoon for $65.
All good conditions definitely a place to play often
Good Greens, A Little Expensive & Rest Of Course On Rough Side
We played 3 courses while in the Fort Lauderdale area:
Prembroke Lakes. Thursday, $106
Boca Lago CC. Saturday, $94
Coral Springs CC. Monday, $78
Of the 3, Prembroke Lakes was in the worst shape and cost the most. The greens and bunkers are very good, tees and fairways were a bit rough. Lot of weeds where the course is putting granular weed killer on the weeds. The fairways were very thin of any grass.
The course does have some hidden water but their GPS helps with this.
Their driving range is hitting into a lake, only rake is located on your cart, many of the cart paths are transitition sandy areas. Never played a course with so many iguanas on the course.
Except for the greens and bunkers, there is nothing special about this course. Price was the most expensive.
Review of Pembroke lakes.
There is enough parking, short walk to pro shop.
Tee time was Saturday at 2:04. Started on time had to wait before that for a golf cart. There is a range, hitting off grass into water. Chipping area with bunker, putting area very long and beautiful. There is water on majority of course. Greens were 8/10.no dirt or holes on greens, a few weeds. Bunkers are sandy. Rakes are on carts. After hole 9 we were only a few minutes behind pace. Golf cart has gps and pace time and is accurate. Very beautiful for sure going back.!
Course is in great shape. Fairways and greens are fantastic. Pace of play is terrible.
Satisfied
We played with two very friendly men from Montreal, Canada, had fun and it was relaxed. We have planned to play again next week
Good course slow pace
Had a nice time, greens in good shape, fairways were ok, course was backed up due to lack of carts, would I play again, yes, but only before 11am to ensure I don't have to wait for carts to come off 18
