Located just off the beautiful Gold Coast, the Diplomat Golf and Tennis Club sprawls across a lush terrain covered with thousands of coconut and Royal palms. Towering banyans provide shade throughout the golf course as well. Although it is a public course, it has the look and feel of a private club. It has been a staple of the south Florida community since opening in 1957. The layout features interesting hole designs that incorporate raised greens framed by contoured mounding and more than 75 strategically placed sand bunkers. The water features are hard to miss seeing as they come into play on all but two holes. The golf course is a challenge but not too intimidating for less experienced players. The beautiful scenery alone will be well worth the round.

fair course in great shape
Fair course to the average golfer the pace of play was ok for a resort course
Golreat course, pace of play not so much
The number one problem in golf raised its ugly head. 5 hour pace? The ranger did everything he could and I would think 9 minutes separating tee times would be fine but who would think a 1:30 tee time in 92 degrees would have all these problems out when this hours after the rush. Well, other than this, everything else was fine. Greens were super-fast but pristine. Looks like they are re-sodding areas but everything else still looks pretty good
Nice course if you get a deal.
I came out as a single, and was allowed out, and then paired up later on. Sat around 3:00 tee off. 3/ 1/2 hour pace, but should have been faster but for some slow singles enjoying the resort course.
Course is usually always wet, but really does not effect the play, other then getting no role on your drives, however, course is short, so it makes up for the lack of distance.
Greens are nice. Fairways are good, rough is a little patchy, but this is being somewhat picking. Overall, good conditions that nobody will complain about.
Some what of a tight course, with water that comes into play on several holes. Nice golf compound and although some apartments around, you feel secluded enough on the course, and it has some beauty to it.
Overall, it is a nice course for a local if you pay 50 bucks.
Expensive course in the AM, in the Winter, and for tourists, but the course is still staying strong because of the resort monies that come through, so it stays in good shape year round.
great course
Wife and I played this course two weeks ago. we are flying back to to florida this week to play another 18. well wourth the price.
It's definitely worth a detour to play in this course.
The landscape of this course is quite amazing. It has just enough bunkers, water ponds and some dog legs to give you fun challenges to play. I played twice last week and still enjoyed the second time. Highly recommend to visit it.

Natalie and the staff are very nice people. The course is very nice and the green are amazing.
Great course - Great Staff - Great Service
Beautiful course in Hallandale. Would travel that extra mile to play there. Love the staff, they are very friendly. The Greens are awesome, fairways are great! The only issue "minor" - need to replace those golf carts. The steering is very difficult due to the wearing of the tires.

What a great way to spend a day off. Everyone was super friendly. Great experience. Course was in great shape and only paid $31 to play. Wish I had my rod as there are a lot of snook and tarpon on the course.

Testing course but overpriced
This course has a lot of water hazards which require to think on several occasions whether to play safe or go for the pin.
The rough at present is too long which means that a player who just goes slightly astray is heavily penalised.
Very Good resort course
Interesting Joe Lee course. Not very long w/only 2 par 4s over 400 yds. Lots of bunkers, most not in play. Greens very receptive.

i paid $42 for a five star course.I played on a friday at 1pm ,hardly anybody so for me ,it was like a dream come true!
I was told it was unusually quite for a friday so maybe i was lucky.

Pleasant course
Had time for just 9 holes, but very nice course. Staff was very friendly and helpful
Called to confirm the course is aerated as Golfnow indicated; he denied it and said the last aeration 2.5 months ago. Aeration was done 4 days ago!!
Balls disappears in the rough. Poorly marked to direct you from hole to hole in confusing tee area. Highly overpriced and rated fir the shape it is in!!!!!. Do not recommend it.

The golf cars incluse a GPS, ball cleaner, club cleaner, and a cooler that includes ice and bottled water, Free range balls to help you warm up before you start your round. The course is beautifully laid out and has great scenic holes, A p;easure p;aying.
