Located just off the beautiful Gold Coast, the Diplomat Golf and Tennis Club sprawls across a lush terrain covered with thousands of coconut and Royal palms. Towering banyans provide shade throughout the golf course as well. Although it is a public course, it has the look and feel of a private club. It has been a staple of the south Florida community since opening in 1957. The layout features interesting hole designs that incorporate raised greens framed by contoured mounding and more than 75 strategically placed sand bunkers. The water features are hard to miss seeing as they come into play on all but two holes. The golf course is a challenge but not too intimidating for less experienced players. The beautiful scenery alone will be well worth the round.

Great course! Loved everything about the day. Pace, difficulty level and condition were great.
Great course with just the right amount of water and bunkers.
Not a very long course, but it was in good shape. Very nice pro shop and club house. They were very busy on the Saturday I played.
This course has great greens.
Fast greens and generous fairways. Long ball hitters will want to play close to the back tees to enjoy the course.

Everything is perfect. Valet parking,great staff, Nice pratice range with good quality balls. fast greens . Beautiful golf course well manicured.

The greens are in great shape and are lightning quick. The course is overall in great shape, but not super long, its 6400 from the tips, so I found myself using a lot of 3 woods. The par threes were boring and short until signature 17th (still short but over water)
I played the course on Friday and had to go back on Sunday., The greens are in great shape, rolling true.
This is a must play. Water comes into play on almost every hole, but you can see it and therefore try to avoid it. No blind shots. Biggest regret was that I had to leave and go home.

Great course for the money
For 71$ this course was incredible! It was slow (5 hours) but, the course was great. Tee boxes fairways and greens were pristine.
Well worth the money if you get a sweet deal
I would play this course all the time if I could. From the parking attendant, to the pro shop, to the starter everyone was very helpful. The course is in excellent condition and there are some great holes. The pace of play is also good. The only negative that I have is the cost of the parking ($7.00)
Very well maintained, and a good resort course
The course was just 5 minutes from the Westin Diplomat Hotel. It is very well maintained. The course is player friendly but it is challenging. Some nice doglegs', and some straight holes. The greens were very fast and quite difficult to read.
All in all a good bargain for $ 85.00.
Course in pristine condition
Somewhat expensive, but a great course. Worth playing if you do not pay the regular full green fee.

Beautiful course with many holes that had water hazards; average difficulty but with some very long par 5s, that were challenging.

Course in great condition, greens were slick and prestine.....staff was great......played 27 holes....extra 9 for just cart fees......great deal, great time had by all.
Course over 100 US$ with aired green and fairways??
Just not fair to pay over a 100 in a couerse that is on repair. Should have notices or alerts prior playing.

Water hazard , difficult course
Excelent course condition. Challenging specially in windy conditions...
review didn't allow me to be accurate. It was either left tight or middle. took us 4:30 to play not 4 or 4:45. It was not pristen but better than a
very friendly staff at all levels. course is fair and was in good condition. even though course is nice, I've played far superior courses for half the greens fee.
Very nice course
Very nice course and in mint condition. Clubhouse and locker room also in great condition. It's pricey but much nicer than the typical fort lauderdale area course. Note that only valet parking is available at the club.
The tops
I've played many courses thoughout the years but only a handful can compare to The Diplomat. First class across the board! Right from the start a staff member brings your cart up to the front door to pick up your clubs and line up the carts according to start times. This allows you to enter one of the finest clubs I've ever seen. The pro shop greeted us as if we were Tiger and Phil and set us up with drinks for the carts and golf balls! They even gave us usage of a private locker for our evening clothes. As for the course, they could boast about the truest rolling greens in S Fla! The layout is fantastic! We decided to play the gold tees which brought water and well postioned traps into play on almost every hole. The par 5's are quite long, especially number 16, (please try to use the fly over mode on your GPS to believe it). The Diplomat IS what golf should and can be! If I was going to S Florida for only 1 round of golf.....this would be the course I'm playing!!!!!
enjoyable, playable course
course was in very good condition. Staff friendly and helpful not just at course but whole facility. Price for Golfnow was right but the advertised price was a bit expensive. An enjoyable round of golf and would certainly play there again.
