Spring Valley Golf Course

Good day overall. Course conditions good. The pace however is a different story. The foursome I was in had to wait at every T. On two of the holes there was two groups in front of us waiting to t off. We saw a marshal for about a minute on # 11, never saw him again.

I had their great cheesesteak sandwich and a 40 lb 805 after the round..’

I enjoy golfing this course and will always return.

Staff was racist and rude to our group. We’re a young group of Asian men, when we arrived and tried to get carts and order food, we were met with pushback and hesitancy.

We pass it off as they were busy. Oh it gets worse…

While on course, we noticed a group slow in front of us, which also had another group in front of them…so we patiently introduce ourselves and made friends with the group in front of us letting them know we won’t hit into them or rush them.

The group behind us was not so nice. They hit into us 3-4 x and when confronted, they laughed and said it was no big deal (except it hit my buddy twice). They then proceeded to call the marshal on us saying we were playing too slow (buddy, there’s a group on the fairway)

Marshall sided with them and said, just hit into the next group, you should be able to aim a bit away from them. Yes. Course Marshall told me to hit into the group in front—telling me to try to injure patrons.

Yeah, great beautiful course. Horrible people.

Not going anymore, there’s better courses. I wouldn’t recommend anyone going or booking a tee time. You’ll have a bad time.

Clubs seem to bounce off the fairways since there were hardly any grass and dirt is so rock hard.

Room for some error on most fairways but greens can be difficult.

Move hot deal time earlier, did not finished the round at 2:07 starting time, path is way too slow

Played the back 9 at 7am. When we got to the 13 tee box the grounds keeper was mowing the fairway. Instead of moving to the side he decides to stay in the middle of the fairway about 150yrd out. My partner send one buzzing over his mower.

Throughout the 13 and 14th hole all i heard was the noise of a john deere mower! Hey dummy!, pull over to the side, shut off your mower and let us play through peacefully!

Its been 5 days past and i can still hear that john deere echoing off the hillsides.

What should have been a peaceful, quite early morning round was spoiled be inconsiderate people!

I've played many courses around the South Bay, and this one's my favorite by far. I love the peacefulness of this place--it's out of the craziness and up in the hills, and one hole even has a Buddhist temple on the hill above it complete with wind chimes and roosters! The snack shack off the 8th green is also a perfect spot with a great selection of beverages and food options. People are friendly and it's just a very relaxing place to be!

This is my second time playing Spring Valley and whereas the last time (May 2023) the greens were super slow, this time they were much much better and rolled smooth at a medium fast speed

Fairways were decent with overall good coverage though they had some brown spots throughout. POP started off fine for the first 8 holes then got painfully slow. All in all this is a fun course with overall good conditions.

Greens are in great shape! The tee boxes could be worked on but all grass and seen worse. Fairways for most part were in good shape with with a few bare spots here and there. Fun course to play and had a nice breakfast after the round.
