The pace is too slow.
Every 15 minutes has two tee time. Therefore the pace is very slow. We have to wait every hole. It took more than 4 hours and 30 minutes to finish the game. Other than that it is an ok golf course.
Good time at Spring Valley GC
Had a good time playing SVGC again. Unfortunately it got really slow on the back nine and didn’t get to play all 18 holes
Cart boy steel range finder
If you do not want to lose your range finder that you fotgot to dettach from your cart after the round, do not play at this course. Seriously. Except for my case, I have bunch of friends who lost their range finders at this course.
Good golf course but questionable staff
This is my favorite golf course. I certainly enjoy playing there.
However some staff doesn’t know how to handle a customer’s issue. My friend made a mistake to book 9hole only. I didn’t know until a guy at a checkin desk said that. I asked him a few questions to confirm then this guy was clearly shown agitated! How come him being agitated by that? Afterward when I asked a cart, he charged a full price for solo ride. Typically other staff inly charges shared ride. I was puzzled so I asked him back if it is correct price. Then he became angry. What a lousy customer treatment!
He needs a better training to help a customer especially when a customer was in unexpected situation.
Low Battery Cart
Cart was hardly moving after playing 3 holes. No Marshall and no phone signal so had to wait for other golfer's help to park out of cart path and had to go back to pro shop to tell.
Good and Bad
I played 36 holes.
Round 1
There were 3 groups of ladies that led off just before us. Love to see them out there enjoying the game, but the PACE. 8:22 tee off, didn't finish till 1pm.
I got a cart that almost killed me. Lost brakes down the hill on the way to hole 3. Had to zig-zag down the hill to not crash.
Round 2
Same issue, pace of play. There was a 4-some ahead of us a full hole behind. They were taking FOREVER on the green, playing farthest away on every put, even 1 footers.
This course BADLY needs a marshall.
Decent for the money I paid
I don’t like the pace of play at all. It took six hours to finish at one point. But I love peaceful and serene atmosphere.
Course is very well maintained and fun to play
Fun course.
I always enjoy playing this course. For the buck, it’s one of my favorite in the South Bay Area.
BRAKES on CARTS
played several times recently and yesterday my wife almost went into a ditch because the brakes were failing I noticed as did my others in our 4 some that brakes were not very good you should fix them before someone gets seriously hurt
