Grand/Royal at Grand Palms Golf & Country Club
About
Twenty seven championship holes await travelers visiting south Florida's scenic beaches. Grand Palms Golf & Country Club in Pembroke Pines also offers three nines: Royal, Sabal and Grand. All three are famous for having some of the best greens in the area, and the golf courses are played in three separate combos. The Grand/Royal 18, designed by Ward Northrup, comes in at 6,881, most of which is blanketed with palm trees and tropical foliage. The longest and most challenging of the Grand Palms' golf courses, Grand/Royal features some especially memorable water holes. A tight layout with raised greens (perfect for testing your shot-making talents), beware the Grand's bunkers, strategically placed along the greensides.

summer greens in florida
tees and greens r under seige from the Florida heat and rain staff is working hard to keep them in playing condition anecdotally a sand spraying equipment was being utilized on the greens as we played
90% OF THE GREENS ARE BAD
cool course, but it appears as though they don’t give it any love. The greens are horrible.
Still some hope
Greens still need some work. Fairways are looking a little better.
Greens are in bad condition
Maintenance needed overall. Cart path need to be redone to many holes.
Grand palm
Good course layout. The course needs maintenance. The greens in certain areas need grass, many brown spots.. the sides of the fairway are too high and you loose balls very easy. Overall, it needs maintenance.
Worst course in South Florida
Played this course once years ago and left vowing to never give them my money again thanks to a front 9 that lasted over 3 hours. Everyone deserves a second chance, and decided to give them another try, but this time with an early morning tee time. Big mistake. After the first hole, I realized I've been got again. I would like to only say bring a pitch mark repair tool for the greens, but that's like a bringing a spoon to a construction site. I wish my dreams were as wildly optimistic as this course in calling these sandboxes a green. If we played strictly by ground under repair rules, we'd be dropping our balls straight into the hole and we'd hold a course record. Hit the fairway? Careful that "dirt" patch you landed on is a fire ant pile and you just rattled them by knocking on their door with a clear no soliciting sign.
Nobody ever likes seeing a course close for more cookie-cutter homes. But at this point it should considered cruel and unusual punishment to keep this course up.
Seriously, save your money.
