Golfer Reviews
Spacious fairways
Wide open fairways, beautiful greens and relatively flat. If you want slope try the South course. Nice grill on the south side with beautiful views!
Good day!
Indian canyons golf
I found the staff excellent and very friendly. The greens needed cut as they were fairly slow compared to last time we had played there. All in all great course layout.
Great venue with history.
The course woul be 10/10 if manacured better and cart paths fixed. second cut very high.
Great course
The greens are in great shape. I am looking forward to play this course again.
Old School Charm
This course comes complete with a funny story about Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr. from the very friendly lady in the pro shop. I found the course to be challenging, yet forgiving enough to stay fun.
Distance markers
Because the carts don't have GPS there were no markers on the side of the fairways to show distances. There were 200...150...100 markers in the fairway but very hard to find since they sat below the grass level and were not painted. There was a 90* rule in effect so we felt uncomfortable driving around to find them. You could not ascertain distances on Par 3 tee boxes since there was no "official" distance marker beside the tee box. All you could go by was the score card and that could be inaccurate because the tee box moves. A very cheap fix would be to place coloured stakes at 200...150...and 100 yard distances to the greens and mark distances on Par 3's better. Even $30 public courses have these.
I've played both courses during our stay for many years. I have never seen the North course in such bad shape. Each year I returned I felt like the course was getting better. I am really disappointed.
Good Time
Good time and fun to play on this forgiving course
My first time at Indian canyon
Bag drop attendant couldn't break a smile upon my arrival.
Was paired up with 3 Canadians who all played the course previously.
The fairways were long and nicely manicured. No collars on the greens.
My biggest comment is that there are NO standing markings anywhere. A standing 150 yard marker on the side of the fairways would Be very helpful to someone not familiar with the course.
Many of the ground markers were covered or couldn't be seen.
Cart path - Many potholes. Some could rival the east coast streets after a hard winter.
Considerate maintenance men out on the back nine stopped with their machines while we teed off.
Beverage/food cart always seemed to be passing by if one wanted a drink or food.
A bit slow playing. We finished in 4 hrs/10min.
An old style course
Older course, flat, long grass in the rough. The sand traps were hard as a rock.
The pace of play was slow for it being an early morning round. We should have been done in less than 4 hours. The 4 some in front was slow and there was no one in front of them. Frustrating.
The course is long,so play to your handicap. The greens are in excellent condition which helped make the round more enjoyable.
Condition exceptionnelle
Excellent rapport qualité prix et des conditions parfaite.
Grand old course
We love this old course which is not too tough and very scenic.
The one area that sorely needs investment is the cart path. Much of it is unsaved and bumpy.
The other hand thing we would enjoy are distave to the green markers on either side of the fairway. The few present markers are often hard to see and deteriorated.
Great Course
Love it! But where did the collars to the greens go? Would love to see them cut back into play!!!
Great Golfing in Palm Springs
Very enjoyable round. Pace was excellent. Less than 4 hrs to get done.
Staff very friendly Will be back there again soon
Classic Palm Springs
This course was just what I expect from golfing in Palm Springs. The golf course was in great shape and the customer service was excellent. I also enjoyed that the course was surrounded by classic Mid century modern homes. it was a great day
Beautiful golf course
We played yesterday - in March - and it was great! Beautiful views, very friendly staff, and the course was in great shape.
great time
We had a perfect time, great weather and a overall super time. Every person we had contact with was right on! They made you feel like you were top dog. The course was in great shape, greens were not real fast, but not easy. The only negatives were cart paths and bag pick up after round. I suggest cart men drop off clubs at front of building on rack, I didn't enjoy carrying bag 100 yards especially with new knee-just a thought. We will be back.
