Worth the money.
Nice course. Worth the money. Tons of sand. I would play the course again.
Great Value
It appears my group was behind a tournament so the pace of play was slower than normal. We have played this course 3 times in the past month and it is a great value for the price. The last time we played the greens where punched so they gave us a coupon for free play- great staff! Can't wait to go back
Challenge yourself ! Friendly PGA Pro Adam cool!!
Great time yesterday ... You have to be good out of sand traps to score well.
Greens are good.... Read it roll it hole it :-)
Heron Bay
I have played this coarse before it is very nice ,kind of flat ,it also has a lot of sand traps that come into play.
Decent course - unpleasant staff
Nice wide course. Not too much water, but too many sand traps. Sloppy in some areas but overall pleasant to play. Staff seemed miserable and bothered when spoken too (shop and bar).
Great value for the money
The course is in better shape than the last time I played and you really can't find a better course for the money. Staff was also very friendly, from the moment I arrived. The removal of bunkers really helped, but still strategically placed (from the blues). I didn't hit a ball in the water all day, but found myself in several bunkers. Still shot an 88 and I am a 14 handicapper.
Green not good
Le terrain est très beau avec un beau layout mais les verts étaient de qualités médiocres. Beau chalet et terrain de pratique et facilités très bien
Had a great time
HB was perfect for me and my buddy to take out our sons who had minimal golf experiences. Everyone was a very nice and understanding as we took a little time for some instruction. Greens are a little rough right now from aeration but hopefully with a little rain be rolling well.
A little disappointed
I have only been playing golf for 2 years and have not played a lot of different courses. I had high expectations for this course being that it had hosted PGA tour events. It was a good course for less than $30. The greens had recently been treated so they were a bit rough. Overall I enjoyed my round but my high expectations of the course were not met.
Aeration of greens
I feel golfnow.com needs to follow up with the courses and put on this website when the greens were aerated. You should not have to show up at a tpc course in south florida and find out they were just done a week earlier, when you have so many other options to chose from. I do not blame the course, I think it is a feature or asterisk that needs to be by the tee times so your customers will know to look for something.
Not to bad with aerated greens
We knew the aeration had occurred, but the bag attendant told us they cut & rolled the greens a few days prior. The practice putting green was terrible and we expected it to be the same for each hole and it wasn't. Due to the aeration, the paces moved well since golfer's stayed away. Fariways were in great shape and tee boxes were good as well. Very attentive beverage cart young lady. We met up twice and was always happy and helpful. Sand traps are huge and I saw a lot of them, but it helped improve my game. Not always good to be in a green side bunker so avoid the sand if you can.
Course rate
The course was excellent and using Golfnow made it much better.
Ehh
I got online special for 32.00 so i figured i would play this course. Staff very courteous and out of the way helpful. They even told us it was a bad month to play cause the just airated greens. (Greens were deplorable) worst i have seen...worse than flamingo lakes which has crabgrass on greens! Anyway average course, tons of sand traps, little water, tight fairways..and the worst part....no cart lady to bring you food and drink....
If you like bunkers
Unfortunately the day I played the greens had been aerated. So much for putting. We had a rainstorm on Thursday and the course was wet in several places. We probably should not have played Heron Bay that day. We have played in the past and the course was in much better shape.
Going downhill,
The pga used to stop here for the Honda Classic. That says something about the course and it's conditions.
In the mid-late 2000's I played here quite a bit because I travel to the area with business. Course was in good conditions. Hadn't played in a couple years until now - new owners - Canadians. I think they're just letting the course go... Crab grass, dead vegetation, greens were terrible, dirt bunkers. Didn't see anyone working, no starter. Kind of reminded me of a deserted golf course that people just show up to and play on. Only paid $26 though so I guess you get what you pay for. Good place to hit balls and practice some shots, but don't expect to score well. Unfortunate to see a nice course get this bad over the years.
Nice course great deal
Greens were recently airated but course was in nice shape
bad features
very poor course
look like that it was abandon
not clean on the course
Bad Greens
All the Greens werde in a Bad shape, uneven, Not Good shaved, many pitchmarks
Clubhäuser Looks old inside
lots of sand traps
I thought the course was tough considering there are over 114 sand traps and the greens were extremely fast. I do like a challenge. I would play the course again.
