bring your sand wedge.
great layout, open course, very forgiving.wide fairways, small greens.putting surface and fairways well maintained.lots of sandtraps.almost stepped on one fire ant hill, and one water jug had a dirty spout.
Great deal
Awesome course. Great price. Short but difficult because of the 100+ bunkers. Super friendly staff
Great Price for a Great Course
I played this course back when the Honda was theirs. The course was definitely always in tip top shape. A perfect 10 when ever you played. However, you paid for it. Now it is still in very very good shape but you can now find incredible deals. They are also much more laid back, so I appreciate the course now, but it was great to play it when it was PGA ready.
Great deal!
What an amazing day! Played 18 holes of fantastic challenging golf had a great lunch in the club house and then played 9 more holes. Best day of golf in a long time. Even got a great deal on a shirt. Can't beat the deal, practice balls, lunch for $6.95 a person and all you can play golf, I believe this deal goes on until October take adavntage of playing on a course where the Honda classic and all of its great golfers once stood and played!
Good value. Wide open course -- lots of sand to deal with!
Enjoyed the course. Greens in good condition. No waiting. Got right onto the course and played smoothly through. Had to stop after 16 hole due to lightning storm in the area.
Great design but so much sand!
Gret course in really nice shape for the money. Also love the driving range. Got a hot deal for $20 then at the pro shop you can upgrade for $6 to unlimited golf, range balls, and lunch. Best deal in town. Only thing about this course is the sand traps which you will most likely be in on every hole. Really requires course knowledge and perfect placement. Overall a great place!
Always challenging depending on tee box you select
The course has been rained on alot and the bunkers are suffering for it. There are still large ponds in them, the sand from one bunker to the other is not consistent due to the wetness. After nine holes of teeing from the blue tees, I realized that our group normally plays from the whites. I've always scored well, but going back one tee box changes the course and challenges (of the course) tremendously. Plus the wind is always a challenge.
If you are a 4-12 handicap, you can count on adding at least 6 strokes to your game from the whites to the blue. The difference is about 600 more yards. They do offer several optional tee box lengths. Do yourself a favor and play the box that fits your handicap otherwise it will be a long frustrating day.
This course was in very good condition.
Greens were in good shape. Bunkers need to be maintained a little better. But over all I would give it a 4 out of 5. Planning on going back soon.
Great course, great value
Bring your sand skills to this course since there are plenty of them from fairways to greenside. This is my first time playing this course. Unfortunately, we didn't get to finish all of 18 because of a thurderstorm. However, this is a nice course and great value given that they it used to host a PGA tournament. I will definitely come back and play all 18.
Nice Course to Play!
I enjoyed the challenge of the course because of the combination of water and fairway sand traps. I look forward to playing this course again as soon as possible.
A interesting course to play.
A very enjoyable course to play... very much a target course because of all the bunkers on all the holes. I would play it again.
A challenging course to play
Great pace. We made it in 31/2 hours and had a lot of fun.
Bunkers are all over the course so be prepared to use all of your skills. Really friendly people at Club House. Greens are recently aired so you will need to adjust your game to control the ball.
Definitely I will try it again ! !
Awful experience
There are a lot of spam reviews on here claiming the course is in great condition and the staff is friendly, but that is unfortunately not true. I've been playing here since the course opened when I was 8 years old, and the condition worsens significantly every time I come back. To put it generously, the course no longer receives any maintenance attention. This is a wildly overpriced course with no character in its design whatsoever. The PGA Tour and TPC left as quickly as possible for good reason.
would recommend. can't wait to play it again
greens great, rolled very nicely. fairwys excellent- not a bad lie all round. staff courteous and helpful. greatt value!
NICE LAYOUT. LOTS OF SAND TRAPS PROTECTING FAIRWAYS AND GREENS.
SLIGHTLY DISAPPOINTED AS COURSE IS NOT IN THE SAME CONDITION AS LAST TIME I PLAYED. THE GREENS WERE RECENTLY AERATED AND WERE QUITE SLOW AND BUMPY. THE TRAPS HAD VERY LITTLE SAND AND WAS HARD PACKED. ITS WAS A GREAT VALUE FOR $21 BUT HAD I KNOWN ABOUT THE WORK DONE TO THE GREENS, I WOULD HAVE OPTED FOR A DIFFERENT COURSE.
A Day at the Beach
This course has a lot of bunkers. Bring your best sand skills along for the round. You'll need them!
Challenging course, a lot of huge bunkers
It was overall a very good experience. Great facilities, challenging course with a ton of huge bunkers that requires a precise game. The course is very well maintained with the exception of the greens as they have a lot of old ball marks that haven't been repaired. Regardless of this the greens still roll fairly well - better than you might expect. Also adding to the experience is the GPS in the carts.
If you like to challenge your irons and drives around traps, this is your place.
If you like to challenge your irons and drives this place is for you. Never seen so many traps. Had to rely on yardage markers, gps and my irons. Should have walked the course or had played it more often before going for the green.
Greens were in good shape but some divots not repaired by the previous golfers. Overall a good experience but would not play anytime soon.
Last comment. Any golfers with handicaps over 18 should stay away.t

A+ Worth the drive even if you are not a local !!!
Great layout and friendly staff made it a wonderful day. The course is challenging, yet fair. For the money best course I've played at this year...

Excellent condition. Good value.
Good value. Course in excellent condition. The course design has an over abundant number of sand traps which becomes redundant after a few holes.
