The Club at Emerald Hills

I played it a couple of months back and it was raining and so wet it was almost unplayable. But this last time things dried out, the course was mowed, greens were decent and it was very enjoyable. Played with good players there for their first time here and both loved the challenge. You need to play it before it turns private!

It was a nice course. But the pace of play on the day was horrendous and tarnished the experience.

Emerald Hills is a great course, challenging and beautiful to the eye. However, without any notification, the course was cart path only?? There had been no rain for a couple of days. There were areas of the fairway where the grass was longer than the rough and finally, the greens weren't rolled. My son and I walked off after 9 holes b/c the conditions and the exhaustion of walking to our ball and back to get clubs was too much. A headsup would have been nice before teeing off. The proshop directed us to a Cart Path only sign that was hidden behind a cart by the cart shed, not visible to the players going out.

I have not played Emerald Hills for nearly ten years and I wasn’t disappointed by the challenge. The course is an excellent layout with many challenging holes. There are several tee positions and not having played for three months I found myself moving to the white tees after several holes. The course conditions were good but it could use some attention on several tee boxes and a few greens. My handicap has been between a 13-15, but I am probably playing a 17 now; I’m 80. Bottom line, there are not many tracks open to the public in South Florida as good as Emerald..

very friendly staff, course is in fair condition , long and challenging .. I would definitely recommend it...

I’ve played the course before and i feel it has deteriorated a little. The greens were running great but we were playing cart path only and it took long to complete the round of 5h30min.

The two times i’ve played the driving range was closed and the chipping area was under repair. So arriving early it wasn’t possible to warm up hitting some balls. The staff was very friendly.

I probably won’t go back though because i was a little disappointed with the course conditions.

The course layout was really nice but the course itself was not well maintained and the staff was really rude

Love this course but it was in terrible condition yesterday

4x4 some’s starting on the 2nd tee so we had to move to the 8th tee to have some type of respectable pace

Water logged everywhere and they tried really should have kept the course closed

No wonder why the course was only 39 bucks lol

Tee boxes were in extremely bad shape filled with mud, sand, and dirt. Greens were OK (the ones that didn't have huge patches of dirt in the way of your putt). Pace of play was one of the worst I’ve ever witnessed in my life, ended up leaving after 13 holes. Such a shame they overbook this course which was once a decent option for south Floridians. Extremely disappointed, will not be going back!

I have lived here my whole life and have been playing Emerald Hills for more than 35 years. Besides the fact that the course is in limbo and the rumors change every day about when it’s going to close to go, private, I will not be playing there anytime soon. We did not receive any rain during hurricane Milton, but yet even with the sun and wind there was no staff available to cut the course. We went to play on Friday morning and needless to say it was embarrassing. The Fairways were the equivalent of rough and the rough was equivalent of Sawgrass that was at least a foot high , although it rained and we only got to play one hole, I could not believe the state of the course. I will always have special memories of Emerald Hills. I will not be purchasing the players card for this year and unless I hear it is in acceptable shape and I can get a decent deal on GolfNow. I will not be heading there anytime soon. This is coming from a lifelong resident of the area and it’s sad for me to have to write this review. The current owner hasn’t cared about the course since he bought it years ago he’s just buying time Until he can close it and get what he has wished for.

Very nice course to play! Some areas need a little tlc but over all good condition!

Not one single enhancement in the last year or since change in ownership. Could be beautiful as the layout is nice but no effort taken to deal with mess and disarray. Many trees were eliminated but for an unknown purpose- perhaps to ready lots for more housing and a new course layout? Most surprising the round was extraordinarily long due to cart path only which was unnecessary as it hadn’t rained in some time and course was not wet. Every cart path needs replacement. Every on course bathroom needs replacement as well. It’s embarrassing when compared to what it once was.

The place itself was absolutely incredible. The course was in great condition. The only bad thing about it is car path only, So if you hit the ball far off the car path it’s a long walk to your ball. Besides that well worth every penny

Overall we enjoyed the course layout (could have been in better shape) the staff very friendly and courteous. The one thing I can complain about was it was over 90 degrees and it was cart path only??

So too much walking to our balls in that heat!

Tee boxes crappy. Rest of course fair. Greens were good. Need a starter to condense groups and marshaller to keep golfers on pace. Staff nice. Took long to get a hot dog at turn. Even so recommend.
