Very Disappointed

Our tee time and day occurred after 3 consecutive nights of rain. We called to see if the course was open and it was. The course was water logged and I got covered by mud in the middle of the fairway several times.The final straw was me actually sinking in the mud, on the fairway. My friend and I quit after 12 holes. When I complained, I was laughed at and told that's part of the challenge. With the exception of a few island holes, the course is boring.

Decent course

I like the layout of the course, although it kicks my butt. I’ve played it a dozen times or so and I’ve never seen the fairways be anything other than soft (lots of rain in the area). My only real complaint is the greens are always so-so. Some are decent, others are poor, all are sloooow. But I’ll certainly play it again.

Downhill

It's disheartening to see the decline of Emerald Hills over the years. Once regarded as the best course in South Florida, it now resembles Orangebrook. Weeds are widespread, the greens are deteriorated, and the course suffers from severe drainage problems. I wouldn’t be surprised if it closes within the next few years.

Too wet

I guess it been raining a lot here. Cart path only. Course wasn't in bad shape greens were good. But no drinking water any where on the course its south Florida in August come on now. Had a good time bartender Jules is great

Nice Course, Pace of play horrible, Drunk golfers

Was our first time playing this course.

The Good:

The course design

The greens good condition and roll true

Friendly staff

The Bad:

Took almost 5 hours for TWO people to play 16 holes.

Why 16 holes because was too dark to finish due to pace of play being so bad. (Started before 4 pm)

Had multiple groups holding us up, no offer to play through.

Saw the Ranger once who didn’t do anything about the pace.

A group of drunken kids blasted music next to us before every tee then skipped holes in front of us and played into us.

Was truly the worst experience I’ve ever had on a normal course.

So conflicted because I want to play the course again, but the pace needs to be addressed and drunken etiquette policed better.
