Terrible slow greens.
The greens where poor slow and not true full of spike marks we played at noon and was obvious that not to many players had used the course that day I assumed that they where not rolled for the Sunday games which was a disappointment
very nice course
playing in the morning 7,45. Fast playing.
Good shape. Nice people to play with
(from the club). 40$ is a good rate
KARL from Sweden
slow play
this is a resort course and gets play from guests who do not play very often and that results in slow play. there was no ranger to speed things along. 5 hours and 15 minutes is tooooooo slow.
Good value course - Consistent with green fees
Nice course. Plays fairly long from back tees. Some holes are relatively tight around the green due to trees.
Good value for the price, but would rather pay more for a nicer course
I played the Cypress course, which is located about a mile from the Palms course. I was looking for something that was close and reasonably priced and Palm-Aire met those expectations.
The course conditions were a little sub par in my opinion. The fairways were a little sparse and the greens were slow. The greens have new Tiff Eagle grass and are very smooth with minimal grain and could be very fast if the superintendent wanted them to be. The pace of play was slow on the front nine (2.5 hours to play the front side), but picked up on the back. We finished in about 4.25 hours.
Overall, I would recommend this course to persons looking to play a reasonably priced round of golf and are not looking for top notch course conditions.
Good track
Overall not a bad course. I've played here many times but this is my first opportunity to review this course. Fairways and greens were in good shape a few tee boxes could've used some work but no big deal. Teed off at 7:15am as a twosome, caught a foursome at the 3rd hole who let us play through and were finished at 10:15am. Classic florida course in terms of layout with good scoring opportunity throughout. Fairways are fair but ball placement off the tee is definitely required here, wider and more generous fairways can be found on Mighty Oaks and Palms Course on this property. Staff is very friendly and overall a good experience. Paid only $52 via golfnow where listed price on Palm Aire website was $79 plus tax so great savings, thanks golfnow!
Enjoyable and Excellent Value
We played yesterday (28 Nov) for the second time this year. The course was in good shape. Greens were excellent, fairways also were fine. This course works for all skill levels. No long forced carries, but still challenging for better golfers. The GolfNow price was an excellent value. Recommend.
Nice course
Decent course but needs a lot of work. Fairways poor, greens need work. Pace was very slow no Marshall ensuring pace of play.
5 1/2 Round!
3 Hours just to finish front nine. No Ranger. 3 Fousomes stacked up a each hole. Went in clubhouse and told them they need a ranger. Reply was we know!!
Play at Cypress
Just ck traps before you hit-found that they had quite a few rocks in them (coral pieces) otherwise the greens were wonderful and fairways were fine. Bring extra balls because the rough is spongy and sticky with the balls settling in and hard to find. So lost a few balls because of that.
Pleasantly surprised
I had not played here in a few years so I booked a tee time. The golf course is in great shape, the greens were very good, the bunkers have been fixed, and the pace of play was just under 4 hours. Fantastic for mid morning on a weekend.
Cypress golf course
Nice course for the value.Stay out of the rough your ball will disappear lol
Beautiful course!
A surprisingly tricky but beautiful course - played from back tee!
Some very nice holes along the water hazards !
If you're staying in the Fort Lauderdale/Pompano area - don't miss this little beauty!
The course was all ours!
We had no one behind us or in front on a Tuesday at 10:00 AM. The summer rain caught us at the 10th hole for about 20 minutes then it was on to finish 18 holes. This is the best $30 you'll spend playing a round on a nearly perfect kept course.
Wet
Rainy season in Florida. Didn't drain well.Course is long. Would play it again when the rain let's up.
Sun and fun in FL
The first 6 holes are the most challenging and then the course opens up some. It is the most difficult of the 3 courses at Palm Aire, so if you are looking for a less challenging course you have a couple of other options. Play started slow, but opened to a good pace any the third hole. I played with my son and we both enjoyed the experience and challenge of the course.
Has everything for a great challange
For Cypress, tees little hairy, great fairways framed by challenging rough, greens plush rolling very smooth. Holes framed well by trees, great over all Fazio layout.
Awful
Palm Aire was the worst golf course I've ever played. Tee boxes were unkempt, greens horrible. Nothing to enjoy on this course. Paid for 18 but only played 9 that's how bad it was.
