The Oak Bridge Club (formerly known as Ponte Vedra Golf & Country Club at Sawgrass) in the heart of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., sits adjacent to the famed Players Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass. The 6,413-yard, par-70 Arnold Palmer design features water on every hole, tree-lined fairways and undulating greens. Oak Bridge favors accuracy and strategy over power and distance. New owners have upgraded the clubhouse and introduced a new restaurant, The 3 Palms Grille. A tennis center is home to 10 Har-Tru clay courts.

Course is great
Entire course is in great shape. Fairways a little dry but overall in good shape.
Great for weather conditions
It rained really hard earlier that morning and hasn't seen much sun all day. Even though the tee times were delayed by 25 mins, speed of play was great. Also, the course held up greatly!!
Quality course, fun to play and challenging for my ability.
We were a little disappointed with the pace of play. If there were rangers, we could have sped the group in front who seemed to be spending too much time per hole.
rains have helped as well as overseeding
the recent rains have really helped this course as well as overseeding. while there were still a few bare spots, it was nothing like during the drougt. will be back to play again
Not Bad for the Price
When I see this course for $30 or less I usually jump on it. It plays long and tight. Lots of water and the rough is thick - if don't play a straight ball, be prepared to lose a few. Staff is generally friendly. My only complaints about this course are that i) on more than one occasion I have gotten stuck behind a 5 some and no starter comes around to keep them on pace and ii) the conditions of the fairways/bunkers/greens on a few select holes could really use some attention. Overall, it's a fun course and for $30 or less it's a pretty good value.
slow greens & lack of bunker sand
Overall this is a good layout--maybe the hardest 6,000 yd par 70 around. Overseeded 2 weeks ago and the greens are coming in nice although they are slow now. The bunkers really do need attention--not much sand and what sand is there is very compacted.
So-So Shape
Course was not as in good shape as other courses in the Sawgrass community. Greens and fairways both need work. But you can;t beat the price of $25 with a cart. Played by myself at 730 and was finished at 1000.
Challenging course with something missing
I like the challenge of the golf course. The layout was good. It is a course you want to put in the right spots because certain trees are major obstacles. The greens are slower than I prefer but it is my understanding they have to let them grow out this time of year. It was just a feeling from the time I got there that they did not want me there. The beer girl was helpful and made good rounds. The rest of the staff was cordial but short and not overly helpful. It was my first time at the course but the guy I asked acted like I should already know where the first tee was located. It will probably be a while before I give it another shot.
Great layout greens and bunkers need some attention!!!
I play this course often and always find it enjoyable and good value, only issues are greens need to be more consistent, huge difference between the front and back nine and all of the bunkers need work.
Overseeding improved conditions
Layout still has character. Fairways and greens have improved greatly over the past 12 months. Needs attention around greens and particularly in traps. With some attention, this course could regain its top flight status in the community.
great time!
went back to this course recently after having a bad experience at cimmarone....loved it, i find the par threes here the most challenging around..rough was a little long, but just stay on the fairways and you wil be alright!..had a blast for the amount i paid for the round on a hot time. will be back soon
Course was in good condition but service was lacking.
Advise not playing unless you are a member. We tried to get lunch but no sandwiches available since they were preparing for the members to come in for lunch. Another member group went out before us and we had to play behind a group of five. Didn't offer to let us play through and took carts of par threes. When we mentioned it to management at the end, they dismissed us.
Great potential that is totally WASTED
What a waste of a great course. Sand bunkers in terrible shape, no course layout on card, difficult to find yardage markers, unrepaired divots on tee box and fairway, rough so deep, half time is spent looking for golf balls if it trickles off the fairway by even a foot. This is a shame to see such great potential be wasted. Also getting into the course itself is a big problem. The GPS road is actually closed with a gate on it and when asking for directions, the locals were not sure what the actual name of the course is. Finally found a guy at gas station that stated he used to be a member there and gave us revised direction.
The course was not in very good condition, although I can see the layout as having potential.
The greens were in very poor condition. They were slow and had a number of thin spots. The tee boxes also had a number of bare spots and were muddy in a number of spots. I wouldnt play the course again.
good challenging golf course
This golf course has to be played more than ounce to be
really appreciated.Very challenging the first time.
A lot of surprises not seen from the tee block.
Course & Staff
Course was in good shape, greens were a little slow but nice. Staff in Pro shop and on the course were extremely friendly and helpful
greens not up to usual stds
This course is challenging, yet fair and fun. Using Golfnow.com the rates are quite reasonable. I play here 2-3 times each winter. Played 11-18-12 and was disappointed in that the greens were not in as good a condition as they usually are. A little shaggy and needed rolling to get some of the bumpiness out. Fairways and rough in good shape as always. Tee boxes need work also.
What a great course. Challenging, but open enough for starters.
The pace of play was good at 4 hours. The course was fair for all levels.
Nice course and can be challenging
Not a very long course and requires placement shots. The better you are with irons and distance control, the better your game will be...
Course in fairly good shape - decent value
Went out on a weekday morning about 8:45, there was so much moisture on the greens and they hadn't been cut or rolled in a while - made putting almost impossible - got to the back nine it was like a totally different experience - greens were dry and cut - so it was a mixed bag. Layout of course is nice, looks like they are trying to get fairways and greens back into shape.
