Two 18-hole courses rest on the 900-acre retreat that is all about golf -- not condos or summer homes. Panther Lakes is the flashier of the two designs at Orange County National, most say, because no two holes are the same. The playing surfaces are lush and the topography is so varied in some areas, some have a hard time believing they're in Florida. The architect made good use of the rolling meadows, grasslands, wetlands and lakes. Visually rich elements saturate the 7,295-yard design.

GREAT COURSE. GREENS SLOWER THAN NORMAL

All in our group agreed, the greens were as slow as we had seen at Panther. Greens stimped about 8. Other than that the course was in really good shape.

Well worth a visit , as varied and well laid out holes.

Golf course condition was quite good especially well presented fairways.

We were a two ball so held up quite a bit especially on back 9.

Staff were friendly and helpful.

Tee to green, really nice, challenging track. Only complaint was the 5-some in front of us (a 2-some) and the 4-some in front of them holding THEM up. I saw a ranger 2 or 3 times, but nothing said or done. Maybe just not possible. The course was stacked up “like firewood” according to the starter. We were ready early tho, so I sure wouldn’t have minded if he had moved us up in the order…I’m still giving 5-stars b/c the course and staff were great at everything I am guaranteed to know and hold them accountable to. It’s really hard to speed up slow golfers…and it’s Orlando, so maybe both old and slow. We still got in 15 holes starting at 2:42p until about 6:30p, so not criminally slow I guess…

Unfortunately the range was closed as demo day had happened the day before.

Bar facilities fine but nothing special

Public toilet facilities in serious need of a refurb

The actual course however was excellent - v decent challenge , but playable - excellent guide for which tees to play off based on your yardage off the tee.

Greens were true and fast - be nice if a few more golfers learnt how to use a pitchmark repairer here !

Pace of play was superb : 3.5 hours though I fear this is the exception as we were allowed to go off a little earlier than our booked tee time by the lovely starter. That was before the wall of 4 balls turned up.

All in all an excellent golfing experience, with the rest of it a little tired !

Beautiful golf course and driving range. Will definitely be back to play both courses. Pace was a little slow as it was a full course - 2 1/2 hr front 9 and almost 5 hrs total, but it was a beautiful day.

Best Course In Orlando….But

Amazing facility, probably the best in Orlando. Both courses are pristine, and very difficult from championship tees. Recently, OCN has been super slow with pace of play and in my opinion needs to remedy it. These are the best two public tracks in the area and have the means to play as such. Hard course, play the correct tees maybe even one up, but marshall needs to be more active.
