Panther Lake at Orange County National

Beautiful course that doesn’t break the bank. I can’t afford some of the higher-end courses in the area, but this dropped into my range with a hot deal and I couldn’t be happier. Greens were in great shape and the layout challenging but playable. I’m not the longest hitter (280 total on a great drive), but playing from the green boxes was about right. Played with a high school kid from KY that could bomb it 300+ from the tips yet the course still seemed long at times. I think it has to be one of the best courses near Orlando! I’d definitely play again!

Course great but bar and restaurant closed for wedding.

Driving range is as big as advertised. Not really sure what a signature hole is but each hole was different from the rest. Approach shots were difficult. Saw a bobcat on the course and got a birdie on a par 3 were my highlights.

The course is in beautiful condition. The greens were excellent to putt on.

Great course in great shape. Heavily sculpted Bermuda fairways, greens may be a hybrid turf grass - I'm not sure but a different shade of green so I think I have that right. 1 complaint - the sandwiches from the cart girl are terrible, smuggle your own food out there.

When in Orlando this course is a must play! With a discounted replay, you can play both course's.

Love the course, good layout, challenging but fair. Wonderful practice facilities. I played here (Panther) several years ago and liked it then and my opinion hasn’t changed. If you’re in Orlando, I would highly recommend it. The only drawback was pace of play. We teed off at about 12:30 and our round took about 5:15 to play, which is unacceptable. AND, we never saw a ranger! Apparently, there was some type of tournament occurring but that’s no excuse. Hopefully this was an anomaly. I will be back!

I have played both courses at Orange County National a of couple times and had the same issue every time. I’m not a pro but I’m no slouch so I find myself just off the fairway from time to time. The grass just off the fairway is so thick and tall it is sometimes impossible to find the ball. I dove the cart right over my ball to find it later seeing I had gone right past it. I have lost several balls because of this issue. The fairways are nice and the greens are nice. Also it is very inconvenient that they have some par 4 and even par 5 cart path only. I’m not sure how they expect everyone to keep pace when you have to walk those hole’s especially with how thick the rough is trying to find your ball.

Panther Lake is in great condition. Fast undulating greens and beautiful fairways. Highly recommend playing this course.

Teed off on time. Midday on a Friday. Starter was sort of bragging about him keeping everything moving. Saw the cart girl once on front 9. On number two. Made the turn at 2 hrs 20 minutes. At the turn there is a snack shack. There were items inside, but nobody there to purchase them from. Back nine was about 2 hours and 40 minutes. Total round was 5 hours. Never saw a Marshall. Only saw beverage attendant on hole 13 on back 9.

Course in decent shape. Greens rolled true. Little to no bare/thin spots. Fairways and tees good shape.

Bring your own drinks and food. There aren’t any services out on the course. EXPECT slow play. This was my third round at OCN and each time was pretty slow.

Didn't say anything the first time this happened for my buddies bday round. But after today, this is ridiculous. You pay a premium and you want to grab a drink at the bar and a sandwich when you're done. There's a sign that says, we are closed, so go get service on the patio. Go out to the patio and it's closed for a baby shower. So you get directed to the pro shop to eat a cold, pre made lunch meat Sammy. That wouldn't be that bad if you had a place to sit. Nothing. You can go play a $30 track and get a dang lunch and a drink. Build an events center and quit ostracizing the folks that come out and support you year round. Not coming back for a while

Love this course but not at 5+ hours to play!!! No marshaling at all. Shame to be on such a nice course and need a shave before finishing 18!!!! Please pick up the pace, at over 5 hours even in great weather it is hard to enjoy.

Goflnow did not warn me that my 'hot deal' tee time would put me behind a 36 hole tournament. I knew it'd be tough to get all 18 in due to darkness but I didn't know it would be impossible because of the tournament.

I feel like I got ripped off a bit. It wasn't a deal at all.

Ignoring that, the course is great and I'd love to play it again at a normal pace of play

The course had too many players - supposed to have a 1:20 tee time - got off at 1:35. Pace of play was very slow with four groups on a short par three. Never saw a ranger thru 8 holes. Unable to finish 18 holes. Appears that pro shop just over booked the course. Course conditions were very good but will not return to Orang National as the result of over booking.

Unfortunately, I was unable to play the course. I slightly sprained my left wrist the day before and could not swing a club. The course cancelled my tee time and said they would credit my credit card back the fee even though I had to cancel 21 hours before the round. Their policy is 24 hours, but they did not debate that issue with me. Nice people. Have played Crooked Cat in past trips down to Florida. Wanted to play Panther Lake badly.
