The Golf Club at Terra Lago boasts two 18-hole courses, the North and the South, that provide some of the most stunning and unique views of the Coachella Valley. Formerly known as Landmark Golf Club, it was home to the PGA Tour Skins Game from 1999 to 2002, which meant it has hosted a slew of big-name players including Greg Norman, Tiger Woods, and Phil Mickelson. Terra Lago's North Course is the longer of the two at 7,060 yards, which is partly a reflection of the dramatic elevation changes that the golf course tumbles across. From the seventh tee box's lofty perch, you'll get a panoramic view from one end of the valley to the other, making it the golf course's most scenic hole. But it's most challenging is a daunting par 3 with an island green that was the featured hole during the Skins Games.

Conditions getting better

Played North course and was quite surprised with overall conditions, I have enjoyed this layout over the last couple of years and can see great improvements with this course.

. Maintenance staff need a congratulation on overall effort in making this a premier public course in the desert. As for front end staff in the Pro shop some of these gentleman need to take some happy pills.

Great Coarse

The course is challenging and fun. The farther back you play the more precise you need to be off the tees. Unfortunately for us we got behind a 2some that were playing from tees they should have not played. This caused really slow play. We did address with the marshal and we know he tried to move them along. People behind us were not happy. The greens were hard and fast. Overall a great challenge and would play again.

Slow Play, No Hydration on Course

The pace of play was really slow. Each hole was backed up 3 to 4 groups of golfers. There appeared to be one slow group and the Ranger did not come around to address until around hole 12 or 13. 18 holes took us 5 1/2 hours to play. We teed off at 12:40 and barely finished before the sunset. There was not any water on the course, and the drink cart was non existent. It would have been nice to know this ahead of time, as we were very parched after the first nine holes. We were using the ice in the cooler for hydration. At 10 we quickly ran up to the clubhosue and bought beverages. If you don't allow outside drinks on the course, there should be at least water available. The carts did not have GPS, there were no ball washers on the course. Postive note: It is a really pretty course, with some challenging holes. The staff and people on the course were very friendly.

Good challenge

Had a great day. Went as a single and was grouped with two others from the area. Course and staff were great. The only negative I would add is the staff need to tell people that the rakes are there for a reason and to use them when you go into a bunker. As a group we went into several and I think only once did the ball not come to rest in a footprint or divot. I’d play here again

#10 - 18

So great experience until turn where evidently they don’t manage golfers making turn

One group got lunch and from 10-18 was 3 groups on every tee box

No marshal either

Very slow and not fun after awhile

Hope it not like this all the time

Great layout and course though

Not enough drink stations or ANY service on course

Poor staff attitude (pro shop)

This was my first time playing here and was really looking forward to it considering most courses were closed due to over seeding. I tried calling the pro shop multiple times (days earlier) before my round to ensure the driving range was open; however, no one ever answered. During check in, one guy was on the phone and the other (possibly Brian) checked me in. He was rude and walked away after the transaction where I couldn’t ask any questions. The rest of the staff (cart guys/girls, starter, etc) were very nice and helpful. Their North course was in good shape and presented many challenges which was a lot of fun. I played with some local guys which helped provide some insight on each hole. I would recommend the course for the golf but management needs to address the staff at the pro shop.

The starter put 2 men out in front of us even though our starting time was before them because we were 3 women. We told them that we played fast all to no avail. The men proceeded to play from tees that were not appropriate for their level of play and we waited on every shot. It was also quite hot so we were forced to quit early. We were on schedule for a 5 plus hour round. The ladies in my group were all 16 handicap or less and we all play several times a week

Mediocre

Staff wasn’t particularly friendly. Ok at best. There was no beverage cart on the course which I appreciate. You could go into the restaurant after 9 holes which I did to get a couples drinks. The greens were furry and slow. There was construction but wasn’t really an issue. I just didn’t care for the layout. Played with a couple good guys and had fun but would t be in a rush to go back. I’m sure it’ll play much better in a couple months. Pace of play was good.

Great day

The course was in great shape, the greens could have been cut closer. They need to tell people to rake the bunkers after hitting out of them. People have forgotten golf etiquette since the pandemic

South seems better

Played south previous day, and seems better then North even after recent overseeding. North greens seemed painted, and did not roll true. A few really quirky holes made the round less enjoyable (not having GPS). Playing again would require a different strategy on these holes. Extremely hot 100+ degrees, and NO CART to be seen! Still can't believe they charge an extra $5 for range balls, and have no GPS on carts.
