The Golf Club at Terra Lago boasts two 18-hole courses, the North and the South, that provide some of the most stunning and unique views of the Coachella Valley. Formerly known as Landmark Golf Club, it was home to the PGA Tour Skins Game from 1999 to 2002, which meant it has hosted a slew of big-name players including Greg Norman, Tiger Woods, and Phil Mickelson. Terra Lago's North Course is the longer of the two at 7,060 yards, which is partly a reflection of the dramatic elevation changes that the golf course tumbles across. From the seventh tee box's lofty perch, you'll get a panoramic view from one end of the valley to the other, making it the golf course's most scenic hole. But it's most challenging is a daunting par 3 with an island green that was the featured hole during the Skins Games.

Down hill

Very obvious the course is not getting a lot of play, club house essentially empty, no water or drinks on course. No one at bag drop upon arrival. Starters were very nice, course in very rough shape other than most of the sand traps that were very nice. I can’t say that I would be back for the price of $112….. it plays like a $40-$50 course. Unfortunately not what it used to be, focus seems to be on building homes

Great conditions

Great day. Greens slower than usual which helped because they are always fast and tiered. Slow play but not too bad considering Easter weekend on Saturday. Love the North course

Gravel pit look course surprises

Some very nice holes and elevated tee boxes here. Greens are hard and roll nice. One of the better courses we played on our holiday.

Goat track

This course is in poor shape, the traps are as many rocks as sand and the pace of play was so slow we gave up at 2:45 at 9 holes. We were waiting two deep at every hole.

Don’t play here ever.

Slow

4:45 round, and at that we caught up with the group that started 20 min before us. No marshall. Challenging course. The range closes at 10:30 on Tues and Thurs.

Good course, better than expected.

Good fun but challenging course, played off the black championship tees in under 4 hours. Teed off at 7.30am and didn’t wait for a hole. There are a couple blind tee shots off the back tees, and a few narrow holes in general. Bunkers and greens were in good condition, fairways a little patchy with the type of grass used, but it has some pretty water holes and good views. I could see this getting slow in general, but we got lucky. Only complaints were no drinks cart and lacking in half way food.

Too slow to enjoy fully!

This was my first experience and I played the North course. The routing from clubhouse to driving range to first tee is a bit confusing for a newcomer. Even some on-course drives are long and unusual -- NOT a good course to walk, so get the cart. The course itself was in reasonable shape.

My complaints? 1) They warn you there's no water on the course, so bring your own. 2) No beverage cart. 3) Slow play! Our foursome took almost 5 hours following a very quick fivesome, them following a very slow threesome. Many times we'd drive up the next tee only to find the group ahead just teeing off. 4) All the flags are red yet there's no pin sheet or pin position chart. Even with a range finder, you still want to know where the pin is when tucked behind a large bunker or on an island green! 5) Many of the bunkers have been changed to "desert areas". My guess is, you don't have to maintain the latter.

The price isn't bad (~80 bucks on GolfNow). And your experience my be different. Just my 2¢.
