Golf Club At Terra Lago - North Course

About
The Golf Club at Terra Lago boasts two 18-hole courses, the North and the South, that provide some of the most stunning and unique views of the Coachella Valley. Formerly known as Landmark Golf Club, it was home to the PGA Tour Skins Game from 1999 to 2002, which meant it has hosted a slew of big-name players including Greg Norman, Tiger Woods, and Phil Mickelson. Terra Lago's North Course is the longer of the two at 7,060 yards, which is partly a reflection of the dramatic elevation changes that the golf course tumbles across. From the seventh tee box's lofty perch, you'll get a panoramic view from one end of the valley to the other, making it the golf course's most scenic hole. But it's most challenging is a daunting par 3 with an island green that was the featured hole during the Skins Games.

Tee off at the 3rd hole, North course Photo submitted by jennifersings on 04/22/2013
Booked the north course, checked in, loaded clubs and drove to starter, he told us north course cart path only, first mention of that.Gave us the option of south course which allowed carts on fairway. GolfNow should let us know if course is cart path only, paid higher price for the north course but chose south course instead because it allowed carts.
Paying for the course, not the staff
Course is fun, greens could use some work. Bunkers were gross. Staff was worse. Guy checking me in refused to make eye contact for 30+ seconds and just mumbled curse words under his breath. Cart guys were completely disorganized and confused on rental clubs. Drink cart was seen in the distance but never came to us.
Once again, go for the course. Pretty enough
Bad experience
The pace of play was very slow we did a six hour round. No Marshall or beverage cart. Very disappointing and no staff available to help on the day of … was told to phone pro in 3 days and by then we’re gone form the area. Will not be recommending this golf course and have subsequently cancelled playing the following day due to this poor experience
2nd time around
Upgrade over the South course, nice layout.
Greens are slower and bumpy but will hold approach shots. Greens well protected.
Beautiful course!
This was our second time playing at Terra Lago. It was a wonderful day. Lots of water available and since it was 95* we appreciated that. No beverage cart was my only complaint. We will be back on our next visit to Palm Springs!
Terra Lago north
Fairways were in good shape and so were the greens. The course was in good condition for this time of year. I would have liked a beverage cart on the course.
1st time
Nice layout, many great views.
Greens were shaggy and bumpy but held the approach well.
North course.
First time playing this course. I had previously played South corse. North definitely my favorite. Overall , staff very helpful and friendly. Will keep this on my list of courses to play when visiting.
Not the course it used to be
This used to be one of my favourites and I’m sorry to say I probably will never come back. The pin placements were probably 3 to 6 days old, flags barely stayed in the holes as the holes were all tilted from being in the same place to long. You have to pay for range balls, which is unheard of in the valley. Pace of play was 5 hrs and 15 mins, not a marshal in site all day. The course has severely gone down hill, don’t waste your money here. The only reason my round was so cheap was because I used Tee Off to book
Terra Lago North
Great track good shape. Fun place to play.
Front staff needs to be friendly and accommodating.
Welcome players to the experience. These front end staff
need to be more customer friendly or find a new job.
Sketchy Greens
Check-in at bag drop was not smooth. Had to go look for someone - then while talking he shushed me to begin talking on his radio! It took almost 10 minutes to get bags to carts. Tee off on North on time. fairways pretty good, green were bumpy for 11am, and were VERY inconsistent... ranging from 8-10 speed, never knew what you'd get. Some hard & fast, others SLOW, and even some were wet! All the flags were at an angle as holes too big - Really? No GPS on carts, and yardage markers helped a bit. A few slow groups in front of us really made pace challenging - no bev cart on course, at least it was only a high of 99. Overall disappointing day compared to my play on both north & south last year.
Playing it again tomorrow
I loved the course on Monday. Will play it again on Wednesday. Pin placement was extremely punitive on the second hole. If you didn’t sink it on the first putt your next shot would be 15 feet down the hill.
